Digital predistorters for amplifier linearization
Kroužil, Miroslav ; Valenta, Václav (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
In this work I describe digital predistortion in baseband used for amplifier linearization. Non-linearity is one of the worst disadvantages of Power amplifiers and decreasing of its is useful from many reasons. Work examines system which contains: Data source, which is represented by QPSK or OFDM modulator, predistorter, Power amplifier (model of non-linearity) and unit used to update coeficients for predistorter adaptation. System is simulated in MATLAB and Xilinx (simulation by ModelSim). Results are compared, described and commented.
Design of sound reinforcement system
Košarišťan, Miroslav ; Hruboš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This Master´s thesis deals with sound apparatus. The first part is a theoretical explanation of the main part of the equipment, such as microphones, amplifiers, proofreaders, switches and speakers. Another section is devoted to the design itself, starting with the block diagram which is followed by the design of single important parts. These are made as PCB. For select-ed diagrams there is an example of PSpice program simulations and the measurement of important characteristics. The essential part of the work also addresses constructional pro-cessing of apparatus. At the end of this thesis some examples of the PCB are introduced.

Wideband current convertor for Fourier transform interferometer
Zelinka, Jiří
The reserach report describes low current - voltage wide band converter. The report includes details about the construction of the instrument, describes its function, methods and questions concerning its design. The converter processes the current signal of photodetectors used with the Fourier transformed - photoluminescence interferometer.
Tomographic reconstruction of the geometry and refractive index profile of preforms for special fibers
Slánička, Jiří ; Peterka, Pavel ; Matějec, Vlastimil ; Kašík, Ivan ; Pospíšilová, Marie
Tomographic calculation of the refractive index profile of non-circular symmetric optical fibre performs is shown on preform for double clad pumping fibre lasers and amplifiers.
Transmission of packetized traffic over WDM through a cascade of EDFA's: experiment and simulation
Karásek, Miroslav
Transmission of burst-mode, packet data through a cascade of five erbium-doped fiber amplifiers is investigated experimetally and theoretically. Suppression of cros gain saturation in EDFAs by gain clamping the first EDFA has been studied.
Futher possibilities of optical amplification in the 1310nm wavelength range
Vojtěch, J. ; Karásek, Miroslav ; Radil, J.
Application of optical semiconductor amplifiers and distributed Raman amplifiers for distribution of 10GE signals at 1310nm has been studied experimentally.
Limits of 10 GE transmission using PC LAN adapters
Vojtěch, J. ; Karásek, Miroslav ; Radil, J.
In this contribution, we present experimental results on amplification of 10GE signále in the 1310nm wavelength range with respect to application of PC LAN adapters in metropolitan area networks.
