Toxicity determination of polyfluorinated and perfluorinated organic substances
Otrubová, Lucie ; Čabala, Radomír (advisor) ; Rucki, Marian (referee)
The goal of the bachelor thesis was the determination of toxicity of fluorotelomer alcohols. The toxicity was measured as ET50 by the oligochaete Tubifex tubifex. This test belongs to group of alternative methods which are faster and cheaper but they provide reliable data as well as the presently used classical methods. ET50 is the exposure time when 50 % of Tubifex tubifex individuals stop moving. EC50 of magnese chloride dihydrate was measured for the control of its correctness of determination and its acute toxicity indice is equal to log (EC50) = -0,845 ± 0,033 [log (mmol/l)]. EC50 is the concentration of the tested substance when 50 % of Tubifex tubifex individuals stop moving. 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorooctan-1-ol and 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecan-1-ol were the tested substances. Destilled water and solution of dimethyl sulfoxide in water (5 %) were used to prepare the saturated solutions of the tested substances. The conncentrations of the saturated solutions were determined on GC-MS by absolute calibration method. The value of log (EC50) for dimethyl sulfoxide solution was measured to determine how it influences Tubifex tubifex during exposure time of 2,5 hours. KEY WORDS: fluorotelomer alcohols, alternative method, Tubifex tubifex
Technigues and philosophy of the educational system horsemanship in relation to a man and a horse
Bílková, Šárka ; Neumann, Cyril (advisor) ; Starostová, Lucie (referee)
The work introduces the alternative method horsmanship in a horse training, that follows from behaviour of horses in their natural environment. It deals with ethology and a horse language, how they communicate with each other, next mental qualities of horses- instincts that are built in horses from everlasting. A part of the work is a chapter, that describes communication between a man and a horse based on the horse language, which the horse understands. This chapter presents a man´s communication with horses through a body language and helps to build a relantionship based on respect and confidence. Last but not least the work mentions the most famous and important representatives and also it deals with some methods: Join Up and Seven games that help to create relationship between a man and a horse. Photos are attached to these methods.
Superlearnig methods in Classes of Foreign Languages
OLŠAN, Vojtěch
This diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of different alternative methods of teaching foreign languages and the possibilities and limitations of their usage in traditional school teaching. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of the terms alternative method and superlearning method and then it concentrates on an analysis of two methods which belong to the group of superlearning methods. Because there are many such methods, and they are very similar to each other, I decided to choose methods which are the biggest examples in the sub-category of superlearning. Those are Suggestopedia, as a method which was the first to be called as superlearning and many of other methods are its modification and Drama methods which, the past years or decades have been gaining more popularity. The practical part is focused on the usage of the analyzed methods or their parts during the traditional teaching of foreign languages. I am designing alternative possibilities of presentation, revision and evaluation of learning material.
Writing letters in alternative methods
HAVRÁNKOVÁ, Veronika
The dissertation deals with a progressive method of primordial writing - improvement of teaching writing in the first year at primary school. We suggest an alternative teaching method of writing, which should assure the fastest and the most effective progress in pupils´ scribal skills. The suggested procedure of improvement in teaching method of writing in an elementary class is grounded, in the theoretical and application field, on the knowledge laid out by J.P. Galperin in the ``theory of formation of intellectual operations{\crqq} and further elaborated by docent PhDr. J.Šemberova , CSc. The thesis is divided into two sections. The difference between the classical method of writing and the suggested progressive method is outlined in the theoretical part of the thesis. Its second section is practical. It is possible to find here a draft of the worksheets for teaching of primordial writing.
