BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Vojtěch Vašina Supervizor: Bc. Monika Tichá Title: Physiotherapy for a pacient with frozen shoulder syndrome Abstract: The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of frozen shoulder syndrome, which is becoming an increasingly common cause of shoulder joint disability. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The aim of the thesis is to develop a therapeutic plan for patients with frozen shoulder syndrome, based on the results of the searched studies and its use on patients. The theoretical part briefly describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the shoulder komplex. Furthermore, the syndrome itself, its definition, history, etiopathogenesis, clinical picture, differential diagnosis and treatment are thoroughly described. The practical part includes case reports of 2 probands diagnosed with frozen shoulder syndrome. The case reports include the initial and final complex kinesiological analysis and a description of the therapies that were chosen on the basis of the results obtained in the theoretical part. The kinesiological analysis focused mainly on the range of active and passive range of motion in the shoulder joint and the characteristics of pain in this area. Both probands completed 8 therapeutic units of 60 minutes duration with a frequency of 1-2...

Drhlík, Michal ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Žáková, Lenka (referee)
Title: Frozen shoulder syndrome - effective physiotherapeutic approaches: systematic review Objectives: The aim of this work was to determine from studies concerning the treatment of the primary form of frozen shoulder syndrome using physiotherapeutic methods and published in the last 10 years, which brings the best results in reducing pain, increasing range of motion and improving affected shoulder function. Methods: Randomized controlled studies (double and single-blind) dealing with the physiotherapeutic intervention of frozen shoulder treatment with a data range of publications from September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2021 were searched. 3 databases were selected for this purpose: Cochrane Library, PubMed and Web of Science. Articles could be written in English, Czech, German, Slovak or Spanish. Different names of the studied disease were chosen as key words: adhesive capsulitis, contracted shoulder, frozen shoulder and periarthritis. Only articles with most probands between the ages of 30 and 70 were included. Persons with associated shoulder joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (excluding diabetes mellitus) were excluded. The analysis of selected articles was performed from clearly compiled tables for individual studies and from 3 summary tables of associated individual physiotherapeutic...

Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Care of Patient with the Diagnosis 'Frozen Shoulder' This Bachelor thesis is dealing with Frozen Shoulder syndrome. It is divided into general part and practical part. The general part is expounding theoretical findings from anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of shoulder girdle. It is also explaining the method of shoulder girdle examination. In the general part is described definition, etiology, clinical picture and the particular treatment of Frozen Shoulder syndrome. In the practical part is thoroughly compiled the case study of patient with diagnosis of Frozen Shoulder. This whole part is based on cooperation with the patient during my bachelor practice. The practice took place in Rehabilitační nemocnice Beroun in the period from 13.1. to 7.2.2020. In conclusion there are evaluated the achieved results from the course of therapy with the patient. Keywords: adhesive capsulitis, physical therapy, case study, shoulder girdle

Title: Adhesive inflammation of capsule of right shoulder joint. Aim of thesis: In this case study of a patient with adhesive inflammation of capsule of right shoulder joint I will discuss the anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of the shoulder complex. I will discuss both the clinical picture of adhesive capsulitis and impingement syndrome. Then I will discuss the types of rehabilitation that will be beneficial for the patient, as well as the epidemiology and etiology of shoulder pain. In the second part of the thesis I will discuss the examinations, rehabilitation plans and therapy progress of the patient. Conclusion and evaluation of the therapy will be included to give a picture of the success of the therapy. Clinical findings: Important findings in the initial kinesiologic examination were pain in resistance against internal rotation and against flexion of semiflexed elbow. I also found pain in the Apprehension test, Hawkins test and during Neers impingement test. Other findings were weakness and shortness of essential muscles. After obtaining the anamnesis and the full initial kinesiologic examination I concluded that the patient had a multidirectional instability of his right shoulder joint, leading to an internal glenoid impingement syndrome. Methods: In the therapy sessions with the...
