Biomechanics study profile thread of dental surgical implant
Konečný, Michal ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with mechanical interaction between spiral implant and bone tissue. Also it deals with study which is concerned with threat profiles of certain dental implants. At the beginning of the first part is listed brief history of dental implants with emphasis on the technical progress in this area. Knowledge of orofacial system anatomy (informations about orofacial system anatomy) and more detailed structural analysis focused on implantology are included into another chaps of the first part. The second part of the paper analyses certain types of thread profile. Some of the computed models of dental implant types are solved through the use of the finite element method. After strain-stress analyse differences between mechanical qualities of single thread profiles are evaluated and compared.
On the production of dental parts
Material development of dental implants
Legerský, Radek ; Borák, Libor (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
The study deals with the development of materials currently used in the manufacture of dental implants. Special attention is paid to chemical composition, mechanical properties and biocompatibility of these materials. The aim and result of the thesis is creation of comprehensive overview of the different material groups, which are characterized by their quality and appropriateness of use. Benefit is an assessment of titanium alloys, which exhibit excellent properties both in terms of mechanical, chemical and biocompatible.
Machining of materials for specific dental applications
Těšík, Martin ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on dental materials used in prosthetic medicine. In the introduction, the most important characteristic of dental materials is summarised, which is biocompatibility. Further it contains distribution of nowadays used dental materials, which are oxidic ceramics and titanium alloys. It describes pitfalls of machining of those materials. Final part is devoted to process of the production of the new dental crown, from the first arrival of the patient to the machining of final product. The thesis also compares the economics of dental crown production using milling and 3D printing.
Stents and their applications in medicine
Sokl, Antonín ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis, which deals with types of stents and their use in medical area, is the provision od detailed reserches of the most frequently used biomaterials, namely details of metals, ceramics, polymers and composites, considering the suitability of their use for the production of substitutes for particular human body structures. The introductory chapters are devoted to external and internal fixation for fractures, dental implants and replacement of renal function. The following chapters deals with stents and their possible variations, especially the chapters are about esophageal stents, prostatic stents and ureteral stents. The final part of this thesis contains a detailed definition of coronary stents, their functional and shape modifications.
The design of the production process for a dental implant
Pikal, Bohumil ; Kouřil, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is an insight into dental implantation. The first part of the thesis presents the introduction of manufacturing processes in medicine, presentation and overview of dental implants, including the description of materials used. The second part introduces a proposal for the production of a particular type of implant according to the conventional method and also the version of the production on CNC machines. The final part brings the technical and economical evaluation of the production.
Biomechanical Study of Tooth Implants for Low Density Bone
Marcián, Petr ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Horyl, Petr (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with problem of dental implant area, where there are many problems at the dental implants application. The essential issue is the bone tissue quality at implant application, which sig-nificantly influences its deformation, tension and the possibility of subsequent implant failure. The knowledge of bone tissue mechanical properties of mandible and mandible with applied implant can significantly affect prediction of dental implant failure. The mechanical interaction can be described by variable determining deformation and tension of solved system. For this reason the computational modeling by using Finite Element Method was used for solving given problem. The computational model creation of solved system on the high resolution level is necessary for biomechanical assessment of implant failure, including bone tissue quality. For this purpose the biomechanical study was performed, which significantly spreads range of solved problem in this work afterwards. In this work the methodology, which describes assessment of bone tissue quality where the implant should be applied as well as mutual interaction, is presented. The results confirm necessity of bone tissue computational models creation on high resolution level including complex trabecular architecture. In this work the creation of trabecular structure computational model from data gained on micro-CT device is described. Further, the trabecular structure computational model was created on the 3D level with dental implant and the stress strain analysis was performed consequently. The last part of this work deals with introductory study of bone tissue modeling and remodeling.
Stress - strain analysis of jaw with tooth implant type VNI
Školník, Roman ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis is dealt with stress-strain analysis of jowl with teeth implants. Teeth implants when locked in place (jowl) have the ability to replace and be used in the same way as the missing teeth. The implant creates a pillar column in the buccal cavity and then the tooth cap or bridge is secured on the pillar column. In this diploma thesis it is described as a solution of stress and strain of two types of cylindrical teeth implants VNI. Thesis specializes on the influence of deviation implant from the vertical axis. The solution is accomplished in program ANSYS Workbench by Finite Element Method (FEM). The geometric models are made in program SolidWorks 2005.
