Attitudes of healthcare workers towards tobacco smoking and smoking cessation: a questionnaire survey

Background: Non-smoking staff and a non-smoking environment are prerequisites for high- quality health care. Despite this, the prevalence of smoking among healthcare workers is still high. Healthcare workers represent a specific group that should be informed about the harm of smoking. The aspect that strengthens the motivation to smoke among healthcare workers seems to be the demanding nature of work in hospital, which is associated with a higher level of stress. Part of the ethical issue of smoking is delegating one's work duties to other people and disrupting collegiality and relationships in the team in general. Aims: The aim is to determine the proportion of smokers and non-smokers in a selected sample of non-medical healthcare workers. To further identify what role a cigarette plays in the smokers' working day and how the consequences of smoking during working time are subjectively perceived. To determine the level of motivation to quit smoking and awareness of a smoking cessation program offered by the employer. To determine whether smoking affects interpersonal relationships in the workplace. The bachelor's thesis on the topic "Method of education of non-medical medical staff from the pupil's point of view" was aimed at information on how to perceive the advantages and disadvantages of practical training in a practical training classrooms and conditions of real practice. Another goal was to find out what difficulties students should have from the transition from a practical training classroom to the conditions of real practice at a time when students and their victims are from starting after graduation. The theoretical part is based on the literature, its analysis, comparison and synthesis. The first part is based on the definition of the concept of nursing, its history in the Czech lands. The next part of the work deals with the education of health professionals and forms of education. The practical part of the work is focused on teaching, practical training and professinal practice. Furthermore in the practical part of the work, to find out opinion of the students, and their readiness for entry into a medical facility after graduation from questionnaires. Recommendations for pedagogical practice were prepared from the obrained informations.

This diploma thesis is focused on the issue of subjectively perceived professional burden among workers in social services. The diploma thesis is related to the situation of the coronavirus pandemic and a government regulation that announced emergency measures to prevent the transmission and spread of infection in health and social services. The theoretical part focuses on workload, stress, burnout syndrome and prevention of mental hygiene. The practical part is a presentation of one's own qualitative research, which was carried out through in-depth interviews.
Using tobacco products in the staff of the Královské Vinohrady Teaching Hospital Prague

In this bachelor thesis called "Using tobacco products in the staff of the Královské Vinohrady Teaching Hospital" I focused mainly on smoking status of employees of the Královské Vinohrady Teaching Hospital (FNKV) and Third Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in a process of inclusion of this hospital to the European Network of Non-smoking Hospitals and the level of providing brief interventions in smoking patients. In the first theoretical part, I describe strategies aimed at the control of tobacco products and treatment of tobacco dependence in a scope of the activities of WHO and EU, the control of tobacco products and legislation in the Czech Republic, important organisations such as Society for the treatment of tobacco dependence etc.. Moreover I focus on prevalence of tobacco use in the whole population of the Czech Republic, on use of tobacco in students of medicine and health professionals.I introduce the most often used forms of tobacco.. At the end of the theoretical part I present the health risks which are noticeable regardingprevention of chronical noncommunicable diseases and possible strategies of prevention and treatment of tobacco dependence.
