The using of gardens of Prague Castle in teaching of biology at elementary school

This diplomat thesis is focusing on use of Garden of Prague castle and the possibilities of their use in the teaching of Science at secondary school within the organizational form of the excursion. The teoretical part is devoted to the description and characteristics of the Gardens of Prague castle. The diploma thesis is mainly focused on the Royal Garden. The reason is practical usability this garden and also limited access to other gardens of Prague castle at the time of processing this diploma thesis. The these sis mainly focused on the Royal Garden. The diploma thesis summarizes the basic informational about the excursion as an organizational form of education. The aim of practical part was the first to find out the attitude of secondary schools (focusing on the Central Bohemian and Prague regions) to excursions to Prague castle and this education method. It was found that most teachers of science organize excursions, but the Gardens of Prague castle are seldom their aim. On the basic of elaboration of previous aims, didactic materials were prepared for the realization of the excursion in the area of Prague Castle, the most comprehensive part consist of a set of ten worksheets. These worksheets are mainly focused on the trees of the Royal Garden. Some worksheets are cross-curricular. KEYWORDS...
