Gender Differences in Media Representation of Young adults: Analysis of the Use of the Words Mladík (Young Man) and Slečna (Miss) in Czech Daily Newspapers

This thesis deals with the question of comparing one designation for young men (young man - mladík) and one designation for young women (miss - slečna) in Czech national daily newspapers. Its goal was to find out how media use the keywords, what the differences are in their use, and whether they can be considered equivalent to each other. On the sample obtained from articles in four national daily newspapers (Blesk, Hospodářské noviny, Mladá fronta DNES and Právo) during 2019, the thesis first divides the use of keywords according to contexts and then analyzes the use in-depth using semiotic analysis. It compares the connotations of the use of both words in different contexts, what other meanings implicate journalists in articles, and to what extent the words can be considered mutually equivalent. It shows that journalists tend to rejuvenate or infantilize young women when using the word miss (slečna), thereby reducing the weight of their success. Conversely, for the word young man (mladík), journalists use the same procedure to reduce the severity of offenses for young men who commit crimes. Bata's Legacy to the Contemporary Culture of Education in a Vocational School "COP"

The bachelor thesis will be divided into theoretical part and practical part. In the theoretical part, the author will first familiarize the reader with the problems of Baťa's schools of labour, history and the supportive ideas of Baťa's education. Another theme of the thesis will be the current apprenticeship education, which was created on the basis of the defunct Baťa's school of labour. The author will focus her attention on the former Baťa's school of labour in Sezimovo Ústí, which now works under the name of Higher Vocational School, Secondary School - Center for Vocational Training, Sezimovo Ústí (COP). The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the Baťa's school system and its comparison with the present form of the Vocational School (COP) in Sezimovo Ústí. In the practical part will be compared the original and contemporary forms of basic ideas from the Baťa's schools of labour. At the same time, the author will find the answer to the question: What kind of support did the apprentices have received and now receive from the school after their application to the labour market by the KOVOSVIT MAS, a.s. In accordance with the aim of the work, the content analysis of archive documents and the content analysis of school documents of the Secondary School - Center for Vocational Training, Sezimovo Ústí (COP) will be used. At the same time, in-depth interviews with the school management will be carried out, which is a direct follower of the Baťa's school of labour.

The risky behavior of adolescent development and the possibility of secondary prevention in Klatovském region

Bachelor´s work deals with the risk behaviour of adolescent development taking into account the possibility of secondary prevention of this behavior on Klatovy region. In the theoretical part of the works is first described the whole period of adolescence. Following the developmental characteristics of adolescence with additional chapters deal with risk behaviour and its prevention, in particular the prevention of secondary. Part of the Bachelor´s work is a research probe, whose main objective is to map the institutions and experts, national and non-State in Klatovy region, on which the school may contact or refer their students and their legal counsel for assistance i addressing risk behavior. Research the probe is implemented in the form of a written inquiry at the secondary schools in the Klatovy region. Presentation of the results of the subsequent discussion are listed in the practical part of work.
