Compensatory intervention exercise program for volleyball players
VANDASOVÁ, Tereza
The topic of this bachelor thesis is a compensatory intervention exercise program for volleyball players. The final work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical work describes the game of volleyball, anatomy of the knee joint and women in sports. This theory is used in the practical part. The players of the volleyball team SK Hlincovka aged 17-18 were selected for the research. Based on my own experience, I know what game activities cause knee injuries. The most common reason for injury is poor or completely missed stretching before and relaxation after training or a match. The aim of the work was to create a compensatory intervention movement program focused on overloading the knee joints in volleyball toys using yoga exercises. Respondents received a compensatory intervention exercise plan and five questions to answer. The first question concerned daily exercise in the current epidemic situation. Only 41.18% of respondents answered that they exercise regularly every day. The second question focused on the most and least popular exercise of the compensatory intervention exercise plan. Most players, i.e. 29.41%, agreed that they like exercise number 5 the most. On the other hand, more than half of the respondents, i.e. 52.94%, do not like exercise number 9. For the third question, concerning the disappearance of knee pain during a volleyball break, the players had a choice of three answers, with 50% of respondents choosing the answer " B "and replied that the pain had disappeared and they only felt it exceptionally. For the fourth question, concerning the observed changes in the knee joint, they again had a choice of three possible answers. Most respondents, i.e. 64.71%, chose the answer "B". Over time, their flexibility has improved, but they still have problems with certain exercises. In the fifth question, they answered whether they missed the team and how they train without teammates and without a trainer. This time they had a choice of four answers. Also the anatomy of individual muscles, pelvis and spine is described. There are also mechanics and physiology of respiration described, for comparison of yoga and physiological breath. Most of the work consists of qualitative research, the aim of which was to find out and describe changes in DSS that take place in individual probands who regularly practice yoga for 3 months at least 3 times a week. The research sample consists of 2 women and 2 men. Probands were examined at the beginning of the 3 months exercise and then at the very end. These tests are finally compared and show the changes in posture or just DSS. The results show that DSS was affected in all 4 probands. In addition, there were other positive changes in their posture, flexibility, stability or muscle strength. All subjects confirm positive changes in their mood after each exercise. Even just the ability to focus on breathing that everyone has gained ensures better activation of DSS, which can be used, for example, as the prevention of vertebrogenic problems. Elements of yoga can be also used by any physiotherapist in their praxis.

In the evaluation of the length of the spinal straighteners, the experimental group achieved an increase of 2.2 cm, in the evaluation of the mobility of the spine and hips it achieved an increase of 2.6 cm and in the evaluation of the square lumbar muscle by 2.4 cm. An evaluating the strength of the neck flexors achieved an overall improvement of 3 seconds and evaluating the strength of the abdominal muscles achieved improvement of 2,8 seconds. Back pain decreased by 2.6 levels at the last measurement. Due to yoga exercises, we managed to see an improvement in both groups. There was better flexibility and partial removal of back pain.
