Zlín FCK Technology

The diploma work deals with the design of a residential building in the town of Malenovice u Zlína, where a new residential complex is to be built on the site of the former Malenovice sawmill. The land is located in close proximity to the main road to Zlín. The work proposes a modular house system made of prefabricated CLT elements with social and community overlap. A system that allows rapid construction and creation of buildings with different configurations according to the given requirements not only in the territory of Malenovice. The design system includes small-scale flats with elements of variable furniture, which allows to reduce the cost of housing, which is responding to the current unaffordable housing, but maintaining human comfort. The design also addresses the efficient use of technology on site and its sometimes excessive use.
Life cycle of wooden structures

This thesis deals with comparing the costs of construction of the timber and classical walling system throughout their life cycle. The first part introduces the history of timber, wood as a building material, processing of wood for building purposes, construction of wooden buildings, durability, removal and recycling of wooden buildings. The second part evaluates the cost of building a family house from both types of material and also cost of living in both buildings since their creation until their licvidation.
Horse Breeding and Training Farm

The bachelor´s thesis was based on semester project of atelier work in 3rd semester. Topic of the project is The area for breeding and training horses in village Lipůvka, which is situated in the north side from the city Brno. Designed building is situated on a site by the forest at the end of the village. Whole object is separated to 3 parts according to their functions. Part A includes riding school, part B is for public which includes pension and restaurant, part C includes stables for horses with secondary rooms. Part A and C are designed as wooden and part B is designed from ceramic blocks Porotherm with ceramic ceiling and combination wooden element and wooden roof. Building is especially functional and with its appearance is approaching to nature and not disturbing surroundings.
Residential units from natural materials

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the costs of building a family house log cabin compared to the wooden building. The first part focuses on natural building materials. Their characteristics, applications and comparison with industrially produced building materials. The second part firstly describes various structures of selected family houses, wooden houses and log cabin in brief. Subsequently, the structure budgets are assembled, compared and evaluated their costs. The budget is based on a bill of quantities wooden houses insulated by straw bales. Finally the positive and negative characteristics of these houses are listed.
Detached house, Štěpánkovice

The Bachelor thesis topic is a project of a detached house. The house design is a two-story wooden building with a pitched roof and no basement. The wooden building is constructed of large panels and the roof is supported by G-N timber trusses. The entrance is situated in the northwest part of the house. Containing six bedrooms, the building layout fullfills the design for 4-6 family members. On the sheltered lee builds vestibule from which we get into the hall. The main hall opens to the kitchen and living room, stairs, and study room. As well, the main haill leads to the master bedroom which has a separate dressing room, bathroom, wash room, and utility room.There is access to the main hallway from the garage and side door. The second floor has three children's bedrooms, bathroom, and wash and dressing rooms. All of the bedrooms are accessible form the second-floor hallway.All of the bedrooms are enterable form the hall and are situated on south side. It is a wooden building of large-size panels. The roof is supported by G-N timber trusses.
Detached house

The Bachelor thesis topic is a project of a low-energy detached house. The house is designed as two storey basementless wooden building with a pitched roof. The 4 bedrooms layout fulfills the design for 3-5 family members. The object includes a wooden warehouse for garden furniture and other tools. The warehouse which is connected by an one-car garage to the detached house. The architectural expression is to be a two matters interpenetration of a standard plaster and a stone facing. The two materials create an L-shape. The entrance which is shaded by the garage shelter is situated in the western part of the house. After the vestibule there is a living room connected with a kitchen. If turned right there is a technical room and WC. From the South-East oriented living room there is a contact with a garden which may be entered by a terrace via a french window. The second storey is reachable via a cranked flight of stairs. The second story layout is simply designed with a focus on an utility while respecting the cardinal directions. There are two children rooms which will be split by a soft wall in the future. The parent bedroom includes its own dressing room and bathroom. There is a bedroom, single WC and dressing room for the children. All of the bedrooms ar enterable form the hall and have southern-west view. The structure is to be from timber bearing boards that are also noise and heat insulants. The house shell is also covered by heat insulations. The structure is designed as a timber beam structure. The roof is supported by nailed timber trusses while respecting an over-rafter heat insulation. The warehouse and the garage shelter have their own not-to-be-walked flat roof.
Clinic of Holistic Medicine

A master thesis „Clinic of holistic medicine“ is processed as a project documentation. The building is projected for the plat no.170/1 in Kladruby u Vlašimy (Benešov district). Is a three-storyed wooden building from large-format wooden panels. Ceilings are ribbed constructions from spruce wood. Stairspaces are made of reinforced concrete. The house is roofed with a saddle roof made by woodentrusses. Stairspaces and machine room of air conditioning are roofed with a one-sheat flat roof. The project is planned as an extension of the Rehabilitation institute complex in Kladruby.
Cottage in Kralický Sněžník

The master’s thesis topic is a project of a low-energy cottage. The cottage is situated in Kralický Sněžník near Jeseník and it is designed for forty customers. The house is designed as a detached house with two floors and with one basement and with a gable roof. A substructure is from a system blockpanel of a concrete and a heat insulations. The structural system of a superstructure is designed from a timber frame and a heat insulations. The indoor shell is formed from a plasterboard. The house shell is covered by heat insulations. The main entrance is located to the south. It leads to a hall with a reception. On the ground floor we can find a restaurant which is situated in the left part of the cottage. On the ground floor we can also find a room for disabled people and in the north-eastern corner are situated WC for people. The first floor is reachable via stairs from the entry hall. Upstairs there are seven rooms and four bathrooms with toilets. Two rooms of them have a ensuite bathroom. All of the rooms are enterable from the hall. Five of them have a window to the south side and other two rooms have a window to the north side. In the basement there is an utility room a boiler room a laundry a workshop and stocks.

The bachelor thesis was developed as a project for building construction based on the studio work of 3rd semester. Sheep farm building is a komplex of free interconnected buildings, divided according to their functions (accomodation, restaurant, production, sheepfold). The complex of buildings is a designed from ecological materials (wooden building) due to its location and purpose. The base of architectural and constructional design is simplicity, functionality and practicality.
