Motivation of winter tourism participants

It is possible to observe certain stagnation of the winter tourism which is linked with winter sports. The overall number of participants is not growing any more, however, new ski resorts are being set up and the competition is continuously rising. In order to stay competitive, it is necessary to take into account reasons which leads to the final decision of a tourist to choose certain ski resort. This thesis concentrates on the concepts that influence the process of choosing the destinationThese concepts, which are based on foreign literature are following: destination image, place attachment, loyalty. During the winter season of 2015 there was also a research conducted at the recently developing destination Lipno nad Vltavou, which was based on observations and interviews with the visitors. Analysis of the Winter Tourism Supply of Switzerland

The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of the winter tourism supply of Switzerland. The objective of this thesis is to analyse the winter tourism supply of Switzerland and to assess Switzerland as a destination for the Czech tourists for spending an active winter holiday. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the sport tourism, including winter sport tourism and also to the role of destination management in development of the destination`s tourism. The practical part is dedicated to the tourism industry of Switzerland and its winter tourism supply. Further, the activities of the Swiss national tourism authority Schweiz Tourismus, and its role in the creation of the winter tourism supply, are described. In the conclusion of the practical part, there is a SWOT analysis, which assesses Switzerland in terms of an active winter holiday destination for the Czech tourists.

The impact of the Association for Transportation by Rope on winter tourism in the Czech Republic

The thesis analyses activities of the Association for Transportation by Rope, which is a professional body associating the operators of ski lifts and ski tows in ski resorts, mountain areas and towns. The thesis is dealing with the potential of winter tourism in the Czech Republic and it takes into consideration the research of Austrian company about Czech sporty people. The thesis also puts the emphasis on Czech ski resorts and their promotion. The conclusion includes characteristic of the role of the Assosiation in the past and in the present and describes cooperation of the Assosiation with other organizations for the purpose of improving conditions of operators of transportation by rope in the Czech Republic.
