Alternative Web Interface for Information System
Bínovský, Andrej ; Kocman, Radim (referee) ; Křivka, Zbyněk (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the development of a student forum platform aimed at integrating social interactions with the distribution of key school information for students. The goal is to display personalized posts related to the school at the right time while maintaining the attractiveness of the presentation through individual contributions. The key feature of the algorithm is its ability to customize school-related posts based on critical dates or statuses. The software implementation is done through a web interface using modern technologies, ensuring an optimal user experience. To address the task of personalizing academic posts, the thesis utilizes the application programming interface of school. However, this application programming interface is not entirely intended to provide information about the current status of students, such as changes in grades, current registration for exam or project deadlines. To address this challenge, an internal PostgreSQL database is utilized, which stores metadata about these pieces of information. These data are then integrated into the system, allowing for personalized posts. Additionally, the system offers real-time notification options via email, enabling professors to effectively respond to relevant student contributions.
A Haskell Platform for Creating Progressive Web Applications
Web Platform for Game Development
Gulán, Filip ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design and implement modern web platform for creating games. The web platform is designed both for HTML5 / Javascript games developers and for players of these games. The work also includes a web portal and API that makes services of Web portal accessible for games developers. On server-side this platform is based on scripting language PHP using Nette framework. On the client side is used HTML, CSS, Javascript, and for the purpose of responsive design is used front-end framework Bootstrap. The game that demonstrates the API is written in JavaScript using the Phaser framework.

Strategické výzvy multi-stranných internetových start-upů
Mucha, Tomáš ; Jaklová, Martina L. (advisor) ; Svec, Vaclav (referee)
The theory of this thesis focuses on particulars of multi-sided platform businesses with special emphasis put on early stage start-ups. The goal is to capture crucial findings and fuse them together to point out specifics which apply only for start-ups that are developed in form of multi-sided platform business. This thesis should provide guidance to all entrepreneurs considering such new business formations. It aims at showing them the most important points leading to positive value creation in multi-sided platform businesses. Specifically, it explains the strategic points hidden behind pricing and network effects utilization. At the same time it depicts what are the unnecessary distractions which just destroy attention and consume time and effort. Consequently, these findings are tested on practical example, where real start-up is modelled using this theoretical framework. Such real application points out strong and weak points. Consequently, the optimal framework is derived based on prior findings. The main suggestions point out what should be examined further by the theory and where the research captured enough knowledge.
