Professionalization of volunteering management in social services in selected volunteer centres of Caritas Czech Republic

The diploma thesis deals with the professionalization of volunteer management in social services in selected volunteer centers of Caritas Czech Republic. The objective of the thesis is to analyze volunteer management in selected volunteer centers of Caritas Czech Republic. In order to fulfill the objective, a research question is set to find out what factors influence the volunteer center coordinators in managing volunteers. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts - conceptual and empirical. The conceptual part deals with volunteering in religious organizations, faith-based motivation of volunteers, volunteer management, volunteer management and volunteering in Caritas Czech Republic. For the empirical part, qualitative research, the method of interviewing and analysis is chosen. The data are obtained on the basis of semi-structured interviews and document studies. Five communication partners from four volunteer centers participated in the research. At the same time, an analysis of annual reports, accreditation documents and strategic plans of each Caritas branch in which the research was conducted, was done.
