Rational layout of the assembly line in the pre-manufacturing stage and Lean principles
Škrdla, Michal ; Bernát, Michal (referee) ; Strejček, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the current state of assembly workplace for prefabrication in selected company. Using lean manufacturing principles it describes and subsequently eliminating all forms of waste that occur in the workplace. Part of the project is to design a new layout of the manufacturing cell, operation balancing and standardize the work of operators in the process. The project aims to achieve the planned production volumes at the same or lower operating costs.
Modern methods of quality management
Slabyhoudek, Jiří ; Mukhametzianova, Leisan (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with modern methods of quality control management and its benefits for businesses. It consists of three parts - the first part of this work is focused on general information of methods of quality control. It describes the most important norms, there is also explained the concept of quality management and listed seven basic tools for quality improvement. The second part is devoted to detailed description of three selected modern methods of quality management, namely 5S, Just In Time (JIT) and PPAP. In this section, each method is described in detail. You will find its main purpose, history and the benefits it provides. The third part deals with a brief summary of the previous three methods, the main advantages and disadvantages of each method and are described in this part of the scope with synoptic chart.
Process optimalization and lean implementation in the manufacturing company Tyco Electronics Czech Ltd
Rudolf, Jiří ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Strejček, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the optimization of a specific process in the environment of the manufacturing company that supplies the components in the automotive and other industries. The theoretical part explains the principles and techniques of optimization of production processes and describes the placement of workplaces. The practical part of thesis analyzes the current state of the production process, identifies potential for improvements and proposes a new layout of workplaces. The project is then evaluated from both technical and economical viewpoint.
The production process optimizing using methods of industrial engineering
Schnederle, Petr ; Vychroň, Aleš (referee) ; Stejskal, Petr (advisor)
The thesis developed in the field of study Electrical Manufacturing and Management is aimed at optimizing and streamlining of production plastics vacuum forming plastics technology rolled in a particular company. The theoretical part focused on the description of the principles of industrial engineering and survey methods that are fundamentals of lean manufacturing or the Toyota production system. The larger part is devoted to methods of 5S and SMED. The practical part of the optimization steps are designed to ensure increased production, balanced production and increase quality, which are based primarily on methods of 5S and SMED. To complement the work given the changes in production processes resulting from other methods of industrial engineering. Several proposals have been practically applied in the production are assessed and their benefits.

Japanese Management Philosophy: Approaches and Implementation in selected Company
Dostálková, Michaela ; Zelená, Veronika (advisor) ; Matheisel, Josef (referee)
The bachelor thesis is about approaches of Japanese management philosophy of operational management. This philosophy is based mainly on the implementation of lean management and kaizen, where the main requirement is to eliminate waste in processes and in activities at the operational level of the organization. In this thesis, will be described the philosophy in terms of theory and then used to solve a particular problem in chosen company introducing this approach in operational management.
Implications of Lean Production Principles for Producing Driver Assistance Systems
Wozar, Udo
This thesis work uses variety of methods from the Lean Toolbox. Thereby, one can examine how these lean principles can be meaningfully implemented in the production of Driver Assistance Systems. This is achieved through the analysis of individual principles and their practical implementation. The principles are examined in a chronological order over the complete project engineering process from Planning, Conceptualization till Implementation on the shop floor. This thesis shall serve as a guideline for the effective and economical installation and ramp up of new production lines.
