Small and medium-sized business complex Víchov
Žůrková, Anna ; Kříž, Aleš (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is the design of complex for small and medium sized businesses in village Víchov, situated in Plzeňský kraj. The initial idea was the creation of new work opportunities, which are considerably limited in the neighbouring area. The complex consists of two factory floors and an administration building, that is a subject of the project documentation. Each factory floor consists of six connectable units, which are sheathed in grey sandwich panels and visually differentiated by translucent coloured polycarbonate panels under the gable roof with a V cut out of it. Same motive is used for roof above the entrance hall of the administration building, and should evoke the first letter of the village, that the complex is situated in – Víchov. In the already mentioned entrance hall there is a spiral steel staircase, which is resolved as the architectural detail as the separate part of the thesis. For sheathing of the administration building is used a ventilated facade system from brick blocks, which in combination with painted steel and glass entrance hall evokes industry in its purest form. Flat roofs of the side wings of the administration building are designed as vegetative to minimize the loss of greenery because of building-up of the area and as a more responsible way to preserve rainwater. Complex is designed to enable easy access and transportation within and in and out of the complex not only for automobiles but also for trucks, to ensure the parking lots for workers and visitors of the complex and to enable transport by foot between the buildings with exploit of sidewalks and outdoor staircases. Part of the design is also replenishing the greenery and creating a new tree colonnade that should at least partially eliminate the noise from the service of the complex.

The subject of the bachelor thesis is the preparation of project documentation for building permits and part of the documentation for the implementation of construction based on the assignment, witch was provided in the course BGA021 – Architectural Design Studio 2. in the winter semester of the 2nd year on the topic of industrial building. The subject of the study is the design of a new industrial building. The facility will be used for the production and distribution of cider and it is presentation to the public. The parcel is located in the village of Víchov, which belongd to the catchment area of Černošín, in the Tachov district in the Pilden region. The concept of the architectural concept was to create a space that would suit the intended industrual aktivity, while at the same time it is material design would not contrast with the architecture of the nearby village. There are 3 single-storey volumes which, with their shape and butteresses, mirror the function located in them. The production area, finished in gray plaster, is elevated and covered by a shed roof. The storage area is finished in gray plaster and covered by a flat green roof. The main volume is finished in white plaster, This functional unit includes a showroom, entrance hall, changing room, offices and staff canteen with access to the atrium.

The subject of the bachelor’s thesis is the design of a facility for producing grape juice and cider on the outskirts of a small village in the Plzeň Region. Víchov, with approximately 120 inhabitants, is located near the town of Stříbro. The main goal of the design is to create a rather pleasant place in the small village associated with highquality apple juice, rather than an austere industrial hall. The gently sloping terrain allows for partial embedding of the production hall below ground level from the side of the village, without disrupting the traditional rural character of the area. The accessible roof and the orientation of the building provide views of the nearby Víchovský pond. Short-term accommodation, a café serving fresh cider and connectivity to the cycling network will attract not only local residents.

This bachelor thesis deals with a new building primarily used for production and storage and secondarily for administrative space. The building is designed in the area of Tachov in the Víchov part of the town of Černošín in the Pilsen region. Access to the land is from the south side of the main road 230 in the direction from Stříbro to Černošín and the second access is from the west side of the dirt road through the village Víchov (the road is currently unused). Both roads are connected by a newly designed road within the plot. The majority of the newly proposed road is used for the supply and removal of goods. The whole concept is designed with respect to the local conditions and referring to the character of the area and also to the investor's requirements. Due to the scale of the village, the height of the building is adapted. The structure of the building is made up of a wall bearing system, where in the part of the administration and warehouses carries a gable roof, which consists of wooden glued trusses. The roof sheathing is made of corrugated metal sheet, which also forms part of the facade. The external façade is made up of timber cladding and cladding made of folded sheet metal. A separate logo was also designed for the building as part of the study, which is located on the front façade of the office building. The proposed building SO.01 will be used as an administrative building for the employees of the cooperage and cannery, who are also part of the production but also administration and management. The building also includes dining facilities for all employees, locker rooms and offices, as well as a showroom for visitors and meeting space for any business meetings of the owner. The building also serves as a representative object of the entire proposal. In the proposed building SO.02 will be located exclusively production or waste warehouse, or warehouse of unprocessed fruit. Dry storage and product storage is not part of the project.

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to design a new multifunctional cider house and canning factory in the village of Víchov near Pilsen. The site currently contains buildings of an unused pig farm. The land is accessible from two sides: the main road on the south side and a field road on the west side. Further plans include integrating with the broader context of warehouses from the east side, however, these are not part of the bachelor's thesis. The proposed facility will serve industrial and recreational purposes, attracting visitors and cider enthusiasts to the area and creating new jobs for local people. The facility will be enhanced with three green roofs. It consists of a complex of three separate buildings, whose arrangement is based on the original terrain, similar to the current development. The buildings are connected by necks, which also serve as ramps. The runoff of rainwater is directed to a retention tank, which also serves as a water feature between the production hall and the building with accommodation, a café, administration, and showrooms. The retention tank enhances the environment of the outdoor terrace, which offers a view of the bottling and pasteurization of the cider through the glass wall of the production hall. The buildings SO-01 to SO-03 have green roofs. The first floor of the SO-01 building consists of a showroom, café, administration, dining room, and entrance to the production area through the neck. This ensures the separation of clean and dirty traffic. As it is a rural construction, wood-plastic – the most suitable combination of significance and efficiency – is chosen as the main material for the exterior shell. Combined with glass, the building complex is modern, yet acknowledges its rural function.

The subject of the bachelor thesis is the design of a new building of a production area of a cider and canning factory in Víchov, a local part of the municipality of Černošín in the Pilsen Region of the Czech Republic. The area is located in the outskirts of the village, on the site of a former agricultural complex. The land is bordered on the south-eastern side by a local road, from which the site is accessible via the main entrance. The site is slightly sloping towards the south. The site has a capacity for twenty employees in production and ten employees in administration. The design includes the production hall itself, supplemented by two warehouse buildings, an administration building and a sales showroom. The production process includes the production of cider, cider and seasonal fruit preservation. The main idea of the concept is to respect and respond to the rural type of the surrounding buildings as much as possible. This is mainly represented by detached houses and small farm buildings, which are often arranged around farmyards. The proposal therefore consists of five single storey buildings with a gable roof, which are situated around a central courtyard, the key area of the site. The scale of the site and the archetypal shape of the buildings, which responds to the surrounding character of the development, became the focal point of the design.

The subject of the thesis is the design of an architectural-urban study of a large area (revitalization of brownfield land/sites) on the outskirts of the village of Víchov. The building program defined partly by the investor and then by the pre-diploma project includes a residential part, a part of agricultural land, a part of public spaces, housing for owners and an industrial part. The industrial part has been designed in more detail and includes the following areas: storage/production facilities, sale of farm products in showrooms, accommodation, catering, administration and technical facilities. The aim of the work was to find an architectural solution that would be the most suitable from various contradictory points of view - such as in terms of spatial layout, from an economic point of view, in terms of the integration of the building into the structure of the village and the topography of the landscape, or in terms of the energy (in)performance of the building. The design should also be representative of an appropriate response to global warming.

The topic of the thesis is the architectural and urban design of a large area of production halls on the outskirts of the small village of Víchov. The thesis follows up on the undergraduate project, which addressed a wider area. The design included a residential area, growing areas, and a production area. The project addresses the production part of this area in more detail. In the area, a commercial and administrative building is designed, which serves to represent the area, as well as six production or storage halls. Some halls have a predetermined use but, in the future, it is possible to use them for another type of production or storage. The basic concept of the design was to divide the production part into several buildings. The division is based on the slope of the terrain. Individual buildings respond to the terrain by placing them along contour line. The buildings are designed to fit into the village as much as possible. Thanks to the existing alley of mature linden trees and the subsequent planting of other linden trees, the production area will be partially shielded from housing construction. The proposal seeks to respect Green New Deal.
