Tube headphone amplifier with USB DAC as an input
Rozkopal, Tomáš ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Vlček, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on transferring of sound through USB bus. There is analysed a principal of the bus, it´s physical properties and a description of information transmission. Behaviour of the end point is described on an example of an audio device. The second part of the thesis describes demands on digital/analogue converters, their attributes such as resolution, speed of conversion and signal to noise ratio. Furthermore there are described two basic conversions between digital and analogue conversion. The third part of the thesis analyses a principal of tubes and explains a principal of vacuum diode, triode, tetrode and pentode. The individual types of tubes are supplemented by currently produced types and brief descriptions of their use in a circuit. Possible solutions of designing data transfer between a computer and an end point are discussed in the fourth part of the thesis. Different available microcontrollers are compared. The design continues with solving a problem with connecting a DA converter using I2S bus and there is also designed DA converter with voltage output. Demands for analogue filter and numerically derived main assumptions for end amplifier are explained in the final part of the thesis. Tube filter low - pass type is designed and possible solution of an end amplifier is discussed.
Ultrasonic distance measurement
Giemza, Michal ; Žák, Jaromír (referee) ; Sedláček, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and realization of an ultrasonic distance meter. Is discussed about the principle of distance measurement using ultrasound and all physics laws, that occur during the measurement. It was selected the most appropriate measurement method, was also discussed about different types of ultrasonic transducers and was selected an appropriate converter for the specified task. The following part describes all function parts of the meter together with the processing of the detected ultrasonic signal. Next part is focused on the realization of the meter and programming, including the control of the graphical display and communication over the USB bus. The last part deals with the measurement with the completed meter to verify the functionality and the right choice of measurement method and circuit solution.
Mikroprocesor control for laboratory power source
Hauer, Petr ; Kubásek, Radek (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
This bachelor thesis aims to design and implementation a laboratory power supply controlled by microprocessor and PC via USB. The theoretical part describes the USB bus and the manner of its implementation to the microprocessor. There are the basic types of switching and linear sources and methods of control by a microprocessor. The practical part deals with the design and implementation of the resource. The results of this work are the themes of control and power part of power supply, printed circuit boards, software for the PC and microprocessor and measurements on the completed source.
Adjustable source supplied and controlled via USB
Pavlíček, Petr ; Daněček, Vít (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with design and realization of power supply, which is supplied and controlled via USB bus. In theoretical part there are described principles of USB communication drivers which ensures this communication, there are described principles of linear voltage regulators and basic types of DC/DC converters. Mentioned is also PID regulator theory. Practical part aims for design of suitable DC/DC converter topology and creating algorithms for driving this converter. Next there is created PC program which drives power supply and there are also accomplished basic power supply measurements. The result of this thesis is functional power supply supplemented with PCB.
Controllable source supplied and controlled via USB
Sedláček, Michal ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Pavelka, Ondřej (advisor)
Master thesis deals with design controllable switching power source. Device is supplied and controlled via USB bus of PC. The required output parameters are specified by user in a computer application. The teoretical part includes method of USB communication and introduction to switching power sources with focus on a Sepic topologii. The practical part describe individual circuit solution which contains of a complete device. Is analyzed in detail the proposal Sepic converter circuit and controling by microcontroller. The work also includes the design of microcontroller and computer applications. The result of this thesis is a functional device on which is the performed measurement.
