Techniques for Multiple Sequence Alignments
Hrazdil, Jiří ; Martínek, Tomáš (referee) ; Burgetová, Ivana (advisor)
This thesis summarizes ways of representation of biological sequences and file formats used for sequence exchange and storage. Next part deals with techniques used for sequence pairwise alignment, followed by extension of these techniques to the problem of multiple sequence alignment. Additional methods are introduced, that are suboptimal, but on the other hand are able to compute results in reasonable time. Practical part of this thesis consists of implementing multiple sequence alignment application in Java programming language.
Application for the Data Processing in the Area of Genome Engineering
Brychta, Jan ; Burgetová, Ivana (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This masters thesis has a few objectives. One of them is to acquaint with the problems of genome engineering, especially with fragmentation of DNA, the macromolecule DNA, the methods for purification and separation of the nucleic acids, the enzymes used for modification of these acids, amplification and get to know with cluster and gradient analysis as well. The next aim is to peruse the existed application and compare it to the layout of the proposed application, that is the third aim. The last one from the objectives is the implementation and the report how was the application tested by the real data. The results will be discussed as well as the possibilities of the further extension.
Cluster Analysis of ECG Signals
Dvořáček, Tomáš ; Chrobák, Martin (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is engaged in problematics of automatic cluster analysis for ECG sinals. This bachelor thesis contains theory of pathology in cardiac rhythm and problematics of cluster analysis. Based on a gained knowledge, set of symptoms is made, which are used for cluster analysis using MATLAB interface and which results are evaluated.
