Specialized Instruction Design
Koscielniak, Jan ; Zachariášová, Marcela (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to design and implement specialized instructions for RISC-V instruction set architecture. These instruction are used to accelerate a set of selected cryptographic algorithms. New instructions are implemented in Codasip Studio for 32bit processor model with RV32IM instruction set. Open source implementations were selected and edited to use new instructions. Instructions were used on respective algorithms, tested and profiled. The outcome of this thesis is instruction set extension, that enables up to seven times speed up, depending on used algorithm.
Design and implementation of Twofish cipher on the FPGA network card
Cíbik, Peter ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Smékal, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with implementation of block cipher Twofish on the FPGA platform in VHDL language. The teoretical introduction explains basics of cryptography and symetric ciphers block operation modes, FPGA platform and introduction to VHDL language. In the next part the Twofish cipher, its components and flow are being dis- cussed in depth. Subsequently describes design of Twofish cipher in VHDL language and induvidual steps in this process. The last part deals with own implementation on hardware card with FPGA chip and summarizes reached goals.
Attack on Encrypted Disk Volumes Using GPU
Sedlo, Ondřej ; Holkovič, Martin (referee) ; Hranický, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create an extension of the Fitcrack tool, which will recover passwords from disk volumes encrypted by TrueCrypt. The introduction part describes the Fitcrack tool which is used for password recovery and supports many different formats of files, and OpenCL framework which is used for computation acceleration. The thesis also deals with the TrueCrypt tool, and its possibilities of use, encrypted disk volumes analysis and cryptographic algorithms used by TrueCrypt to encrypt disk volumes. Furthermore, the work includes a concept and implementation of the Fitcrack module which will be used to recover passwords from disk volumes encrypted by TrueCrypt. At the end of the work we can see results of our experiments that compare speeds of CPU and GPU.
Cipher Twofish Implementation On Fpga Board
Cíbik, Peter
This paper deals with nowadays hot topic, which is data security and secure communication. It describes solution which uses Twofish cipher to ensure confidentiality of data. The cipher Is implemented in VHDL language and used on FPGA chip because of execution speed. The teoretical introduction explains need for secure the communication and data. In the next parts Twofish cipher and implementation are being discussed.
