Aggregation and propagation of disturbances in the transmission system
Šedivý, Tomáš ; Rajský,, František (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is devoted to the analysis and simulation of disturbance phenomena in the transmission system of the Czech Republic with emphasis on harmonic voltage distortion. A simulation model was developed in PSCAD environment, which allows to study the propagation of harmonic components in a congested system with multiple interconnected substations under different operating scenarios. The simulation results provide a deeper understanding of the aspects affecting the propagation of mainly harmonics in the network and lead to suggestions on how to effectively analyze the propagation of disturbances on a larger scale network.
Complex design of the overhead line section of the transmission system
Reiskup, Filip ; Valiga, Matěj (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
The aim of thesis is a design of overhead lines of transmission system under specific weather conditions in given area. Furthermore, it gives a summary about the transmission and distribution systems and describes basics of overhead lines, used conductors and pylons in Czech Republic. It also presents the issue of climate conditions having a eminent influence on overhead lines. Moreover, theoretical part of thesis contains conductor mechanics and also mentions asymmetric state of overhead lines. Practical part deals with a design of specific part of overhead lines at voltage level of 400 kV and generally evaluates area where lines would be operated. In this area the new power energy source is hypothetically planned and therefore thesis analyzes possible variants of connection this source to transmission system. For one of these variants there are the calculations of two sections of the overhead lines under different weather conditions in more detail. The results bring longitudinal profile and assembling table for each section and they demonstrate the major impact of icing on the overhead lines.
Uninterruptible Power Supply
Mrázek, Petr ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The thesis deals with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and associated problems of backup power in case of unexpected outages of electricity. Start of work is dedicated to limitation of the electricity supplies, as well as their causes and consequences. Furthermore, brief history of UPS and subsequently distinguish between UPS’s architectures. There is also a description of the energy sources such as batteries, flywheels or fuel cells. Part of thesis describes security of electricity supply in health care facilities, including requirements for emergency power. The own design of UPS is described in the end.
Dynamic loading of overhead lines
Šimák, Josef ; Jurák, Viktor (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on the introduction of equipment and principles in dynamic current loading of lines. The individual methods are introduced and described with a focus on online monitoring systems. Furthermore, the calculation of the dependence of the parameters of AlFe conductors on the temperature change is performed.
Analysis of Using Cable Sections in the Route of 400 kV Overhead Line
Belatka, Martin ; Rusek, Stanislav (referee) ; Modlitba, Petr (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
The thesis deals with the use of cable sections in the overhead transmission route of the 400 kV transmission system in the Czech Republic, with the design of the arrangement of the cable route and with the solution of the crossover of the cable line with other networks of the technical infrastructure or natural obstacles. The thesis shows what the construction of a 400 kV cable line in the overhead transmission route - which has not been implemented in the Czech Republic as of yet - entails in practice. The first, general part deals with the electrical properties of both the cable lines and the combined overhead transmission lines with intermediate cable sections, and this sets out limitations on the maximum possible length of the cable sections. The following chapters provide an analysis of the magnetic field of the cable line, its impact on the surrounding environment and the possibilities of its shielding. On the basis of this knowledge optimization of the designed cable route arrangement is carried out in order to make the route comply with hygiene limits. The next part uses selected locations on a real route of overhead 400 kV transmission line to show what the construction of cable sections inserted into the route of overhead 400 kV line would involve. The design includes a professional estimate of the time and financial demands of the construction.
Analysis of Zetor tractor output parameters with different gearbox design
Orság, Josef ; Škopán, Miroslav (referee) ; Bauer, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with energetical and efficiency comparison of two tractor transmission types, used by the Zetor company. The description of transmission construction types of various tractor producers is given, with focus on Zetor tractors transmission construction. The laboratory methodology and operating tractor and tractor sets measurement is described. The individual results are introduced in tables and graphs and subsequently evaluated.
Uninterruptible Power Supply
Mrázek, Petr ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and associated problems of backup power in case of unexpected outages of electricity. Start of work is dedicated to limitation of the electricity supplies, as well as their causes and consequences. Furthermore, brief history of UPS and subsequently distinguish between UPS’s architectures. There is also a description of the energy sources such as batteries, flywheels or fuel cells. Use storage thermal power in Czech republic
Bednář, František ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma’s thesis analyzes the possibility of accumulation of thermal power plants in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first part describes the different types of storage power plants, the historical development of power storage for compressed air and the appropriateness of their location. The second part is devoted to the design of storage power plant for compressed air in South Moravia. In the next chapter, a calculation is made of all equipment storage power plant, including turbo-compressor, combustion chamber, combustion turbines, the volume of storage tanks and two heat exchangers. The last part is the economic analysis of the return on investment of such a project.
The Application of an Innovative Methodology for Transmission System Development Planning
Vrábel, Radek ; Pistora, Martin (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis deals with new approach to development planning in transmission system. As an introduction to the topic the current ways of planning the development of the transmission system are presented in the beginning of the theoretical part of the thesis. The following section analyze the projected scenarios of the development of energy sector from three different sources. The theoretical part is followed by modelling of the electricity market with an explanation of its use for planning the development of the transmission system. The next chapter deals with the use of market modelling results in the network calculation of steady state with and without contingency. The last part of the master thesis analyzes the results of the simulations and proposes appropriate steps and new projects.
