Evolutionary ethics
STAŇKOVÁ, Eliška
The basic task of evolutionary ethics is the explanation of reciprocal altruism. It derives its basic principles from the discipline which is called game theory. In the first part of my thesis I deal with the basic forms of altruism, which is described by evolutionary ethics. In the second part I focus on game theory and the ways it explains the principles of evolutionary ethics. In the last section I am concerned with the question of free will which is in fact eliminated by evolutionary ethics. The aim of my thesis is to describe the basic concepts of evolutionary ethics and to consider the question whether it is possible that all our moral standards of behavior are given only biologically.
Game Theory and Evolutionary Ethics
BARTÁK, Jakub
One of the main evolutionary ethics tasks lies in conventional biological explication of reciprocal altruism and its related adaptive functions of human moral phenomenon. The evolutionary ethics assume a simultaneous development of altruism evolution along with moral senses and intuition by which this strategy was conditioned. For evolutionary ethics argumentation is used a discipline called game theory that by means of mathematic simulations confirms its hypothesis. The relation of these two disciplines is the main reflection object of this thesis. The first part of this thesis gives an introduction to the fundamental evolutionary ethics. Beside the tasks and methods there is an explanation of the meaning of altruism as the fundamental concept of reflected problems. The second part deals with general game theory characteristics including the object, methods and essential concepts. The third chapter deals with relations concerning the game theory application on evolutionary ethics. There is a detailed description and classification of game strategies representing the individual types of persons regarding their cooperation, competition or betrayal propensity, and a research follows that focuses on the success rate of these individual types in the game called prisoner{\crq}s dilemma that represents a mathematic model of conflict situations. The method used in this thesis is synthesis, combination and comparison of observations gained from theoretic analysis of scientific literature.
Dopad kategorizace a "nekrátkozrakého" chování na výkonnost adaptivních hráčů v interaktivních prostředích: modely a předběžné pohledy
Tyutin, Anton
This paper considers adaptive players who individually learn to play a repeated normal-form game, and analyzes how the players´ performance is affected by two assumptions: 1) the players are not myopic in calculating their payoffs; 2) the players realize that their environment is not stationary, and learn to categorize the states of the environment.
Model of the extensive form game with the financial rewards
Erbsová, Markéta ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Rada, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is the analysis and presentation of the original extensive form game with the financial rewards, which is called Výměna (Exchange). In the theoretical part we will describe the basic concepts of Game Theory, especially the game in an explicit form. In the practical part we will deal with the game Výměna (Exchange) in itself. Determine the rules of the game, the graphic form of the game and formulate a mathematical model of the game. Individual parts of the game will be described in more details. No less important part of this Bachelor thesis will be the characteristics of the game, which outline the possible use of the game in practice.
Mechanism design theory
Random walk and game theory
Vondrušková, Ivana ; Malá, Ivana (advisor) ; Novák, Ilja (referee)
A random walk is a mathematical formalization of a trajectory that consists of taking succesive random steps. The results od random walk analysis have been applied to computer science, economics, biology tec. This thesis is concentrated on connection between random walk and games theory especially with thinglering simulation. The application part of this thesis is focused on game strategies, that determine the amount of bet in next game.
Signaling games and their applications
Uhlířová, Jarmila ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Zouhar, Jan (referee)
Signaling games are part of games with imperfect information. The games with imperfect information mean that the player doesn't know all moves of players, which played before him. The signaling game as such are interesting because some players have more information than the others. The better informed group of players can indicate to uninformed players what they know and wait how the opponents react. Generally the move which uninformed party takes influence all players. In my papers I want to describe main rules for signaling games, show possible ways how to solve this kinds of problems and use this new knowledge in aplication on problem which can be usable in practices.
