Maturkanič, Michal ; Jiránková, Martina (advisor) ; Antal, Jarolím (referee)
The thesis devotes itself to the free trade area between the EU and the USA as a next (logical) step in transatlantic interrelationship. The aim and the purpose is to mention great relations of both partners with each other from political and economic view. The political background gives trend in relations from the start of the 90's to the present. From economical point of view, the thesis devotes itself to FDI, value of their flows and reasons why they make towards the transatlantic partner. In spite of those relationships there arose and still operate many non-tariff barriers, which limit the fluency of goods, services and capital flows. Moreover, these barriers have in modern history higher position than tariffs and become a huge obstacle during negotiations.

Jiruška, Martin ; Cihelková, Eva (advisor) ; Neumann, Pavel (referee)
The transatlantic partnership is comprehended as a relation between two or more countries, eventually integration groupings, on the both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. For purposes of this thesis is my point of view on the mutual relations limited only to the European Union and the United States of America. First chapter is oriented on resources of mutual relations. It's aim is to define area, in which is bilateral trade made, on agreements and contracts, which make mutual co-operation possible and easier and on historical relations, which set mutual co-operation character and dynamics, which we can see in these days. Dimension of the mutual relations is the second chapter, which is all in the analytical sense and which tries to show structure and dynamics of the bilateral trade exchange in trade in goods and services. Third chapter is maybe most important of this thesis, which tries to find pros and cons of the enlarging of mutual co-operation. Furthermore it tries to show if it's possible to realize an ambitious plan of building a free trade area between both partners.
