Bilinguality in the Czech-Bavarian border region

The aim of the Master thesis was to introduce the looking for bilingual people (Czech and German people), who are living in the Czech-Bavaria border region. After discovery of bilingual people was very important record the life story of selected respondents in Bavaria and South Bohemia. Life stories of the respondents should include of the concept bilingualism. This thesis is based on the sociological methods, method of the oral history and monitoring life stories of people, who can be forgotten in the future.

The Paradise of the Free State of Bavaria and its activity in international relations

This study focuses on the foreign relations of the Free State of Bavaria and surveys cultural, economic and political activities at European, regional and bilateral levels. The analysis provides insight into key actors, tools and channels for promoting Bavarian interests. Emphasis is placed on elements of federal organization within Germany. Particular attention is paid to the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria in Prague and the Czech-Bavarian relations. Based on the study of papers and interviews with three experts in Germany, the thesis seeks to answer the research question as to what assumptions, tools and motives the Free State of Bavaria has for its foreign policy activities.

The public administration in the Free State of Bavaria and the heritage conservation

The objective of the bachelor's thesis is to present the system of heritage conservation in the Federal Republic of Germany as an example of public sector organization. The field of cultural and heritage conservation is under the exclusive competence of the individual federal states, hence the main focus of the thesis at this level of competence. The subject of interest is the Free State of Bavaria. The thesis focuses on the Bavarian legislation, authorities and institutions responsible for heritage conservation and the funding options for the preservation of monuments. The thesis also presents the societies supporting the heritage conservation on the federal level.

Cross-Border Police Cooperation on the Czech-Bavarian Border in 1989-2012

Anglický abstrakt diplomové práce - Kateřina Majerová Policejní spolupráce na česko-bavorské hranici v letech 1989-2012 This diploma thesis deals with police cooperation on the Czech-Bavarian border. The police forces of a particular state are supposed to promote and enforce abiding by the law in a territory surrounded by the state borders. Borders are more and more penetrable even for criminal issues; therefore, the cooperation with colleagues on the other side of the borderline is essential for fulfilment of the above-mentioned task. In terms of time the topic of this thesis is delimited by the period between 1989 and 2012. The aim of the thesis is to verify the fulfilment of Karl Deutsch's concept of transactionalism on the example of this particular cooperation. For this purpose the author examines three areas on which she demonstrates the fulfilment of this concept - compatibility of states in the view of police cooperation, existence of a common interest and forms of interaction and their development. The diploma thesis consists of four chapters. Firstly, the author studies the concept of border as a place of clash and contact which analytically helps to fulfil Deutsch's concept. The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to introduce the system of public administration in the Free State of Bavaria. This thesis is focused on identifying traffic problems, which focuses on the distribution of different types of roads according to levels of public administration. The bachelor thesis specifies bodies or institutions that have various powers to provide traffic services. The chosen problems will be extended to the current topic of German communications charges (tolls problems).
