Knowledge Discovery from Spatio-Temporal Data
Liptáková, Daša ; Burgetová, Ivana (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with knowledge discovery from spatio-temporal data. Firstly, it describes the general principles of knowledge discovery and then knowledge discovery from spatio-temporal data, where it mainly focuses on methods for detecting outlying trajectories of moving objects. In the next section, the thesis describes the design and implementation of the mining task and demonstration application. Finally, several experiments are performed over three different datasets.
Knowledge Discovery in Databases of Moving Objects
Chovanec, Vladimír ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Chmelař, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this master's thesis is to get familiar with problems of data mining and classification. This thesis also continues with application SUNAR, which is upgraded in practical part with SVM classification of persons passing between cameras. In the conclusion, we discuss ways to improve classification and person recognition in application SUNAR.
Domain Indices in Oracle 11g
Dvořák, Jan ; Ráb, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the domain indexes in Oracle Database 11g. It describes the database architecture and discusses the available methods of indexing. There are explained concrete ways of the implementation and use of domain indexes, also discussed ways of indexing spatio-temporal data especially the TB-tree structure, which is then implemented as a domain index. Along with the domain index operators are also implemented by means of which the index is subsequently used and tested.
Knowledge Discovery in Spatio-Temporal Data
Pešek, Martin ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with knowledge discovery in spatio-temporal data, which is currently a rapidly evolving area of research in information technology. First, it describes the general principles of knowledge discovery, then, after a brief introduction to mining in the temporal and spatial data, it focuses on the overview and description of existing methods for mining in spatio-temporal data. It focuses, in particular, on moving objects data in the form of trajectories with an emphasis on the methods for trajectory outlier detection. The next part of the thesis deals with the process of implementation of the trajectory outlier detection algorithm called TOP-EYE. In order to testing, validation and possibility of using this algorithm is designed and implemented an application for trajectory outlier detection. The algorithm is experimentally evaluated on two different data sets.
Querying Spatio-Temporal Data of Moving Objects
Dvořáček, Ondřej ; Kolář, Dušan (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master's thesis is devoted to the studies of possibilities, which can be used for representation of moving objects data and for querying such spatio-temporal data. It also shows results of the master's thesis created by Ing. Jaroslav Vališ, that should be used for the solution of this master's thesis. But based on the theoretical grounds defined at the beginning of this work was designed and implemented new database extension for saving and querying spatio-temporal data. Special usage of this extension is demonstrated in an example application. This application uses the database extension for the implementation of its own database functions that are domain specific. At the conclusion, there are presented ways of the farther development of this database extension and the results of this master's thesis are there set into the context of the following project, doctoral thesis "Moving objects database".
Knowledge Discovery in Object Relational Databases
Chytka, Karel ; Vrážel, Dušan (referee) ; Chmelař, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this master's thesis is to acquaint with a problem of a knowledge discovery and objectrelational data classification. It summarizes problems which are connected with mining spatiotemporal data. There is described data mining kernel algorithm SVM. The second part solves classification method implementation. This method solves data mining in a Caretaker trajectory database. This thesis contains application's implementation for spatio-temporal data preprocessing, their organization in database and presentation too.

Visualizations history of changes in cadastral map
Klecanda, Vojtěch ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Souček, Petr (referee)
The goal of this master thesis is to suggest a methodology for a visualization history of changes in cadastral maps. The suggested methodology takes into account a selection of original historical and contemporary data, processing workflow and follow-up visualization using existing open source web technologies. The greatest contribution of this thesis is in the design of the spatio-temporal database, because currently there does not exist workable editor similar to it, which could be used for creating such data. The suggested procedure is based on database updating method of ISKN database utilizing amendment records. However this method is significantly simplified with the use of PostgreSQL/PostGIS geospatial functions. The available literature and other informational sources to the topic are overviewed in the first part of the master thesis. The term "spatio-temporal data" is thoroughly defined and also the ways of integrating temporal features into spatial data, methods of visualization of spatio-temporal data and recent state of their implementations into desktop platforms and web applications are noted. Furthermore historical and current data sources and their usability for the master thesis are described. The full methodology of pre-processing and processing of data and a subsequent visualization using...
Moving Objects Indexing
Křížová, Martina ; Ráb, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with indexing of spatio-temporal data. It describes existing approaches to indexing data and support for indexing in Oracle Database 11g. The aim of this work is to design structures of databases for storing spatio-temporal data over Oracle Database 11g to propose experiments for these databases. Ways of spatio-temporal data storage are evaluated according to these experiments in terms of time demands of queries and appropriateness of using available indexing structure and spatial operators.
