Social workers´ experiences with social work oriented to foreigners in South Bohemian region among selected institutions

The bachelor's thesis focuses on social workers' experience with social work oriented to foreigners in the South Bohemian Region among selected institutions. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part describes the system of protection of foreigners in the Czech Republic, categories of foreigners and types of residence of foreigners in the Czech Republic, as well as valid laws on foreigners in the Czech Republic. The essential part of the theoretical section also includes the specifics of the social work with foreigners. These include for example the competences of a social worker in social work oriented towards foreigners, sociocultural specifics or selected methods and techniques of social work specified to foreigners. The practical part deals with the research, that was realized with the usage of qualitative research strategy and method of questioning carried out in the form of an interview. Interviews were carried out with the social workers and with the workers in social services from selected organizations in South Bohemia, that provide social services for foreigners according to Act No. 108/2006 Coll., on social services, as amended. There were defined two research aims for the research purposes. The first aim was to find out what experience social workers have with the foreigners regarding the practice of their profession, the second aim was to identify how they are prepared for this work according to the subjective evaluation (in the following areas: methods and techniques of social work; legal knowledge; sociocultural specifics of minorities, immigrants, and foreigners granted asylum; etc.). Following these aims, one research question was specified: How are social workers equipped with methods and techniques of social work specified to foreigners? The data obtained from the research was analyzed manually using by "pencil and paper" and the results, of the analysis, were entered into several diagrams, that were created in the computer program Draw.io. The analysis of the research results showed, that the social workers have both, positive and negative experience with the social work, oriented towards foreigners, while positive experience relates to the evaluation of social work with the foreigners as such. The biggest difficulties in social work oriented towards foreigners are social workers' language barrier or insufficient orientation in law on foreigners. Social workers have to often turn to other experts in these areas. The research also showed, that the social workers assessed their preparedness in the methods and techniques of social work specified to foreigners as sufficient, even though in most cases they did not mention any of the specific methods and techniques of this social work (such as intercultural communication; empowerment; networking; coaching; combating discrimination; social work with traumatized refugees; etc.). In this sense, they rather talked about general methods and techniques or about some theoretical approaches of social work, which they also apply in social work with foreigners. The results of this bachelor's thesis can be used as a motive to stimulate the reflections of the governmental and non-governmental sector on the need to improve the professional readiness of social workers in social work, oriented towards foreigners, but also as a valuable basis for the implementation of follow-up and deeper research on the issue.

The role of paramedic in care on patient with acute stroke in pre-hospital care

The bachelor thesis describes the role of paramedics in care of a patient with an acute stroke in pre-hospital care. The thesis deals with the topic of stroke, its symptoms, its diagnosis, its medical treatment, as well as the role of paramedics on site of the incident. The theoretical part describes the anatomy of the cerebral arterial circle to simplify the understanding of what happens in case of stroke. Furthermore, this part focuses on the question of ischemic and haemorrhagic types of stroke. It describes the high-risk factors, symptoms, diagnosis, neurological examination and the treatment within the pre-hospital care by paramedics. The transfer of patients suffering from a stroke into medical facility and their follow-up healthcare are introduced. Last part deals with the prognosis of the illness and the prevention of a stroke. The practical part consists of a qualitative research based on personal interviews, comprising of 27 questions. The research group is formed by 10 paramedics who have been working at Emergency Medical Services in South Bohemian Region. The analysis of collected data and the evaluation of the data are included as well. The aim of the thesis was to map the knowledge and working procedures of paramedics within the crew of paramedic services at an acute stroke.

Spotřebitelský trh s biopotravinami v Jihočeském kraji

Abstract The topic of this bachelor's thesis is "The Consumer Market with Organic Food in the South Bohemian Region" and it deals with the current market situation. The goal of this thesis is to analyse customer's approach to shopping of organic food, also looking for the weakest side of customer-organic food relationship and to define the direction how the customers think of the purchase. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts such as organic farming, defines legislation in labelling requirements and certification of organic food, the functions of organic farming control companies and production and processing of organic food. The results in the practical part were achieved by evaluation of a questionnaire survey and data analysis from the respondent's survey. Finally, the author suggests recommendations based on data analysis from the obtained information.

Visitors` Satisfaction in South Bohemia (Lipno Tourist Area)

The higher number of customers in remarkable places causes more troubles. Therefore this Bachelor thesis focuses on traffic survey and satisfaction of visitors in the selected area, in this case Lipensko on South Bohemia, specifically Vyšší Brod, Rožmberk nad Vltavou, Lipno nad Vltavou, Frymburk and its surroundings. This area is rich in historical sights, natural monuments and other significant tourist attractions. The satisfaction of visitors is analysed on the basis of a questionnaire survey. The research took place in the summer, where the most tourists were present. All information and findings combined lead to answers of established hypotheses. The aim of this paper is to find out the main advantages and disadvantages and suggest adequate solutions of main problems.

The Automotive Industry and Its Influence on the Economic Situation in the Selected Region

This thesis deals with the automotive industry and its impact on the economic situation in the South Bohemian Region. The aim is to analyse and evaluate selected indicators and their influence on the selected indicators of the number of employees in the region in the monitored period. The surveyed indicators include unemployment, number of employees outside the automotive industry, average gross wage, number of enterprises and sales per employee in the automotive industry in the South Bohemian Region. The main factors and dependencies are evaluated using econometric and statistical methods.

The market for sheep and goat dairy product in South Bohemia region

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate an offer of sheep and goat dairy products from small local farmers in the South Bohemian region and in the local sales network, and additionally to evaluate customer´s demand for these products. The assortment survey was carried out by own research of 15 small farmers in the South Bohemian region and also in four supermarkets. An online questionnaire was sent out via social network in order to obtain more information about customer's demand for these product. The achieved result with 123 participants shows that the offer of small farmers is primarily oriented on goat dairy products, sheep dairy products are exceptional. In terms of the sales network offer, there is a great variety in goat and sheep dairy products. The questionnaire survey indicates that even though customers use sheep and goat dairy product, they continue to prefer cow dairy products. The result of this survey may serve to farmers as an introduction of a variety in sheep and goat dairy products offer in South Bohemian region and hereby help them to adjust their production and distribution.

Periferní oblasti jižních Čech - vymezení, typy a stabilita

The bachelor's thesis deals in particular with the delineation of peripheral municipalities and areas of South Bohemia and evaluation of their social-population development (stability). For the purposes of the thesis peripheral municipalities are municipalities distant from microregional settlement centres. They are delineated based on public transport connections as being too far from the microregional settlement centres in terms of time or not connected with these centres by a sufficient number of connections. Except for peripheral municipalities and municipalities of microregional settlement centres there are also suburban municipalities and semiperipheral municipalities delineated (the rest). Settlement centres are defined and structured into a hierarchy based on four characteristics: services for residents, population, number of commuters and number of public transport connections. Metropolitan (mesoregional), city (microregional), small-town (nano), township (piko) and rural (femto) settlement centres are delineated. Then the social-population development (stability) of all municipalities in the South Bohemian Region and their types are evaluated. There is 1 mesoregional, 17 microregional, 14 nano, 11 piko and 35 femto settlement centres delineated in the South Bohemian Region. Peripheral municipalities are grouped into 19 peripheral areas (7 frontier, 5 interregional and 7 intraregional). Semiperipheral piko centres, peripheral piko and nano centres have the worst results in terms of social and population development (stability); as for the peripheral areas, the worst results were in interregional peripheral areas (in particular the surroundings of Deštná and Mladá Vožice) and some frontier peripheral areas (Novohradsko and Vitorazsko area).

František Dvořák (1932-1986) became one of the leading photo-amateurs in the area of České Budějovice after the mid-1950s. Despite the high level of his work, his meaning and artistic footprint are forgotten over time. Above all, the unofficial part of his work is going over time to the background. Therefore, this bachelor thesis deals with mapping and reminding the life and the work of this South Bohemian artist, who has not received proper attention yet.

Hunting - educational program for secondary level of primary schools

In this theses there was suggested the learning program covering the topic of gamekeeping and pupils of the ninth grade of the elementary school were tested on this topic. In total 196 pupils from 7 elementary schools from the South Bohemian region took part of the testing. The test had a form of non-standardized didactical test. The test efficiency was checked by the system of pretests and posttests (pupils took the best before and after the learning programme) in three different elementary school classes. The results show that pupils have a basic knowledge of gamekeeping and that the participation in the learning programme broadened this knowledge even further.
