The Necessity of a Social Worker in Primary Schools.
PŘIBYLOVÁ, Michaela
This bachelor thesis focuses on school social worker and his role in primary schools. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out the necessity of a social worker in primary schools, and to identify what their role should be from the perspective of principals and teachers in primary schools. In the research was chosen a qualitative research strategy in which was used the semi-structured interview technique. The interviews took place with teachers in primary school. The selection of the research population was realised by deliberate selection. The interviews were recorded on a dictaphone and then transcribed into a text form of the electronic version. The results evaluation was carried out by using an open coding. The codes have been assigned to the individual statements. By writing on this bachelor thesis, I have expanded my horizons about the profession of the school social worker, its role, and competencies in primary schools, and found out what view have teachers at primary schools on this profession. The bachelor's thesis can expand the awareness of the necessity of a school social worker and consider its inclusion into the legislative sphere. The research results showed that educational staff and other professionals can imagine the functioning of a school social worker in primary schools and confirmed that there is a need for them in certain areas of their focus on primary schools. It was found that the low practice of school social workers in the Czech Republic influences people's awareness of this position, and they cannot accurately determine its role in primary schools. Communication partners were able to imagine their role in certain areas, but it was more challenging for them to distinguish the boundary of the competencies of the school social worker to avoid duplication of other professions that operate in primary schools.
The influence of divorce on adolescent psychosomatics from a perspective of social workers.
LAURENČÍKOVÁ, Štěpánka
The bachelor's thesis deals with the influence of divorces on adolescent psychosomatics from the perspective of a social worker. Its main goal is to investigate the impact of divorce on adolescent psychosomatics from the perspective of a social worker. In accordance with the goal, two main research questions were stated as following: What is the influence of a divorce on adolescent psychosomatics? What techniques and methodologies are applied by child protection service workers while discovering the psychosomatic symptomps on adolescents? The theoretical part is aimed at family, divorce, adolescent psychosomatics and its prevention. This part also includes social work with a divorcing family, methods and techniques applied by social workers and the general information on child protection services and the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children. The empirical part describes the methodology, provides the answers of interviewees and summarizes the outputs of the analyzed data. The quantitative research method called snow ball was chosen to guarantee the appropriate selection of interviewees. The interviewed group consists of nine subjects employed at the child protection services. As gathering research methods, a semi-structured interview and a survey were implemented. An open coding method was used to conclude the results of the research. This research shows that divorce has an impact on adolescent psychosomatics from the perspective of social workers. The social workers are familiar with these problematics and apply the methods of social working with individuals and families. The most commonly applied methods are guided or semi-structural interviews during which the clients are provided with supervision or addressed to contact professional help.

Services Institution for Children and Youth Srdíčko - Jiloro from the Perspective of the Target Group
LEVÁ, Monika
Children who grow up in dysfunctional families where they do not have required educational care and model are nowadays focused as frequented. The number of reasons why is a child on the edge of parents´ interests is increasing. Those children are exposed to risky factors much more than the others, because they lack of protection and an educational model. Society´s reaction to this situation is building Low Threshold Institutions which offer ambulatory or filed services to children or youngsters who are endangered by social exclusion. In a theoretical part, there is a comprehensive introduction of issues connected with these building Low Threshold Institutions for children and youngsters (NZDM further). These issues are clearly arranged into chapters which represent legislative fixing of NZDM, its rules and standards. A history of NZDM which has been developed in the Czech Republic dynamically since the 90s to a present form is a part of another chapter. Principles of NZDM, inner rules of provided services, employees and their personal dispositions, education and ethical norms are also describes, as well as services and activities of NZDM which are mainly of advisory and preventive character. The last chapter deals with a target group, which is affected by inner factors primarily developmental psychology of potential clients and outer factors which are socialization ones. A research is based on a qualitative approach where a point of view of the target group on NZDM Srdíčko Jiloro was found out with the aid of data fixing. Another points of interest was employees´ point of view, their professional perception of provided services. Last but not least, subjective view of NZDM from some clients´ parents was put into the research, too. The first aim of the thesis was to find out whether and which relevance the services of NZDM Srdíčko Jiloro have got for the clients. The second one was to identify how the work with clients is going on (e.g. contact work, work with educational situations, motivational dialogues and work with drug themes). Under the terms of an empirical thesis part are introduced data which were gathered into following results NZDM Srdíčko Jiloro has got its own irreplaceable role in the area of Okružní, but the clients are not aware of the fact that NZDM has got any influence on them. They do not use any other alternatives for spending their free time. There are 40 clients and only 2 social workers every day. Clients do not talk about their problems, they say they do not need help. Advantages are that social workers learn with them, help them with their homework, etc. They are also aware of using of leisure time activities and workshops. Social workers and information in files and records of services and activities prove that clients have got problems. These are mostly very grave and that is another reason why Okružní has got its important role. Social workers provide especially consulting, information and situational service, preventive and educational programmes, work with close relatives, etc. Professionals in NZDM and Rehabilitation and Activation Service Sasanka work with whole families and they try to offer complex support and help. Social workers guide clients through their childhood and maturing, they are becoming their guides and mentors, they lead them to positive changes and have got mainly socialization and educative effect. Work with the clients in Okružní is more hectic than in other NZDMs. I think it is primarily because the social workers want to offer services to a maximal number of clients but with the lack of employees and time. Leisure time activities are going on in an ordinary way, but work with children and youngsters in a social unacceptable area needs specific professional and human attitudes and approaches. Because of poor personal sources are social workers forced to a negative trend provide services rather in a quantitative than in a qualitative way.
Social work with client families early care services focusing on siblings
GREGOROVÁ, Klára
The topic of my thesis is a social work with customer families and services of early care, aimed at siblings. The first chapter describes current situation and it is divided into seven units. The first unit defines the topic and the tasks of family who has essential role in children care, especially in care for disabled children. The topic of disability is described in the next chapter. I have explained the formation of disability, divisions of disability and then social impact on individual people. The special attention is paid to visual and hearing impairment. The focus group of The Centre of Early Care in Ceske Budejovice, which I was describing in my thesis, are the families of children with visual or hearing impairment. The following unit is focused on the topic of a family of disabled child, especially topic of healthy and disabled siblings. Further, I was focused on the specifications of social work with a family and social work with disabled people. There is a short description of therapy, too. The final unit of my thesis is dedicated to early care its definition, services, activities and aims. There is a description of early care, there is a specification of a team of workers and there are described concrete forms of help to families thanks to this service. The practical part of the thesis is a qualitative research, its main aim was to find out what is the main reason for social work with a family with a disabled child in terms of services of social care. There were two research files needed for needs of my research. The first one were customer families, the second one was a key advisor of these families. I used the question method and the method of a half-structure dialogue for my qualitative research. I created curriculum for two half-structured dialogues, one was for the families, the second one was for an advisor. Questions were aimed at the certain topics. These topics were leading to answering of given questions, although the questions within a dialogue with families were different from questions for the key advisor. The research shows that families have different options of services, which are provided by the service of an early care, the whole topic depends on a few factors, which service the family will want and need to use. The main role is played by the overall family lifestyle, its possibilities, aims and wishes. Based on the research, we can say, that there is a whole range of services that are offered to families, these services are available for a healthy sibling, too. Everything again depends on a few factors, how deeply these services will be used. Based on the results of the research, we can say that families caring for a disabled child edit differently individual tasks for individual members of a household and care for its children. Early care is a service which respects individual aspects mentioned above and takes into account these for needs of work of advisors of early family care. It is a service aimed at a family, there it is needed to reflect its possibilities, wishes, aims and try to make the service hand-tailored for the family to keep increasing level of its services.
The Conception of the Diaconate in the Czechoslovak Hussite Church
KLABOUCH, Martin
The work deals with the founding and history of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church from its beginning to the present. It also describes the meaning and history of social work and its irreplaceable and important role in the Church, specifically in the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. In social work it does not matter whether it is provided with a church, state or non-state institution, but whether the work is done with love and willingness to help others. In the study there is also introduced a social worker Berta Mildová - Bílková, to whom social work has become her life´s dedication. There is described characterization of respective institutions under Diakonie and the missions of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. One of them is the centre of Nazaret, which offers its clients quality services and leisure activities, aiming for easing the integration of people with disabilities into the society.
