The bachelor thesis "Slovak Chamber Orchestras" is trying to give the whole view as for the beginning, work, musical stream and the results reached by the chamber orchestras that have ever been in Slovakia and abroad. The first chapter is dedicated to Warchal´s Slovak Chamber Orchestra, introduced worldwide throughout their existence. Further part deals with Žilina Chamber Orchestra - from the beginning until nowadays. Other chapters are getting more familiar with Capella Instropolitana, Musica Aeternu and ´Bratislava Chamber Soloists´ Orchestra.
Development of opera in Slovakia and Slovak pionners opera theater

My work is about the history of Slovak opera and theatre, since the first written records and live performances. I was also interested in the history of slovak theatre and it´s buldings, the first instances of slovak opera, and the rise of the Slovak National Theatre. The end of my work belongs to, in my opinion, two of the most important initiators of slovak theatre.

This work focuses on the theatre works, educational activities and organizational skills of the famous mime Milan Sládek. It introduces his life and work from the beginnings to the present day, focusing on the works since 1989, namely the performances Marriage of Figaro, Grand Pierrot, Andy Andy, Way of the Cross and Don Juan. The aim is to highlight the originality and uniqueness of his work and a huge influence on the art of mime.

Lefká, I. The influence of macroeconomic indicators on the amount of written premiums in selected EU countries. Diploma thesis. Brno, 2013. The aim of this thesis is to identify macroeconomic variables that affect the amount of written premiums in selected EU countries - the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria and the Slovak Republic. For each country is developed an econometric model that explains the dependence of written premiums to GDP, inflation, unemployment rate and the average wage, following by an economic, statistical and econometric model verification. The data used was obtained from the Sigma statistics of reinsurance company Swiss Re, the European (re)insurance federation (Insurance Europe), the World Bank, the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat), the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and other expert sources.
Territorial polarity socio-economic differentiation Slovakia

The bachelor thesis deals with the territorial polarization of socio-economic differentiation Slovakia based on the application of spatial analysis of selected indicators. The main objective is to identify the key determinants of participating in the development of regional disparities. Indicators are classified by nature into three different categories on the economic, social and others. The indicators include gross domestic product (GDP), unemployment, divorce or religiosity. Final results embody the main determinants profiling territorial difference and at the same time defining the degree of spatial polarity.
Government's policy towards national minorities in Slovakia

The thesis deals with the government's policy towards national minorities in Slovakia after 1993. It focuses on policies towards the two most populous minorities in Slovakia (Hungarian and Roma minority) mainly in two key spheres -- culture and education. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the development of the minority policy towards Hungarians and Roma people and to asses individual factors that causes its changes. The goal is also to compare the approach of government coalitions towards these two minorities. The continuity of these policies is mainly observed. Policies can be influenced by internal and external factors. International organizations -- Council of Europe, European Union and OSCE -- and Hungarians are set as external factors and different government coalition in Slovakia as internal. Last question that thesis deals with is if the triadic nexus (as characterized by Rogers Brubaker) between nationalism of Slovak government, Hungary and Hungarian minority in Slovakia can influence also minority policy towards Roma. Despite all these factors that have an influence on government's minority policy after 1993 in Slovakia, it is continual.
Perception of the beauty and body image in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary with application on beauty industry

The Master thesis deals with the perception of the beauty in 3 countries, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. This thesis is showing differences between the perception of body image and beauty of women in 3 different countries by looking at the consumer's behavior. The first part of the thesis is theoretical and it is devoted to the definitions of beauty and body image of women. The Author shows consumers' differences between studied countries and the consequences of these differences. The objective of the second part is to analyze the survey of multiple respondents from Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Results of this survey are used in order to demonstrate differences in women's perception of the beauty shown in the theoretical part. Last part shows the practical approach to the thesis. Based on results from the survey, the author proposes the recommendations to the beauty industry marketers working for these countries. Key words: , , , , , , ,
Analysis of the products of travel agencies in domestic tourism in relation to Slovakia

The subject matter of this diploma thesis is to analyze the products of selected travel agencies in domestic tourism in relation to Slovakia. The aim of this thesis is to analyze their offer in terms of depth and width, and also find out how travel agencies are involved in this type of tourism. The first part of the thesis defines the theoretical basis and terms used in the following sections. The second chapter describes the Slovak Republic as a destination of domestic tourism, discusses the current state of domestic tourism, but also the attractiveness and preconditions for its development. The third chapter presents the specific characteristics of selected travel agencies and analysis of their product portfolios. The final section is devoted to the comparison of offers, evaluation of analysis and drawing conclusions and recommendations.
