Study of the development of Alite crystallinity
Lakomá, Karolína ; Fridrichová, Marcela (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis summarizes current knowledge in the field of preparation and various influences on the structure of alite in triclinic modification. The work is mainly focused on the study of the development of crystallinity during heating and short isothermal endurance. Within the work, the production of pellets is optimized and the functionality of the experimental furnace for firing triclinic alite is verified.
Preparation of the different C3S polymorphs and the determination of their properties
Ravaszová, Simona ; Všianský,, Dalibor (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the methodology of preparation of Alit – the main clinker mineral. The content of this work involves design and optimization of the methodology of preparation of pure Alit polymorphs, analysis of their properties by available analytical methods and evaluation of the change of crystallinity in the process of preparation of these polymorphs by XRD-analysis.
Effects of the different grinding technology on the properties of Portland cement
Švéda, Matěj ; Všianský,, Dalibor (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis compares impact of various high-energy grinding technologies on crystallographic and granulometric properties of portland cement. It also observes the influence of the conventional and high-speed grinding technology on the resulting physical and mechanical properties of portland cement, depending on the storage time.
Organic materials for molecular quantum bits
Tuček, Marek ; Bábor, Petr (referee) ; Čechal, Jan (advisor)
In this thesis we briefly outline the properties and utilization of metal phthalocyanines, the procedure of iron phthalocyanine thin film deposition on Si(100), the supplementary post-deposition analysis by XPS and the equipment used to measure X-ray reflectivity. Further we describe the theoretical description of physical background of X-ray diffraction on a crystal, the measurement of X-ray reflectivity and evaluation of acquired data, focusing on determination of the thin film thickness, identification of its crystal structure and lattice parameters. It has been found out that iron phthalocyanine thin films deposited on a substrate at room temperature grow as an alpha-phase in the shape of needles perpendicular to substrate surface, so the film thickness, due to high rougness of the film, can be only estimated with the help of Scherrer equation for long depositions. In the case of shorter depositions (and thus lower roughness) the Kiessig fringes method can be used. By the post-deposition annealing we were not able to induce a phase transition; at required temperatures all the material on the substrate evaporated. By a deposition on a substrate heated to 160°C we acquired considerably rough film with unclear crystalline phase.
Study of Alit structure and stability
Pernicová, Kateřina ; Všianský,, Dalibor (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the laboratory preparation of the main clinker mineral alite. The theoretical part summarizes the main findings of recent research. The practical part is devoted to the preparation and optimization of the methodology for the preparation of alite polymorph. The main goal was to prepare monoclinic phases of M1 and M3 alites and analyze their properties by available analytical methods.
Study of limestone decarbonation process
Koporcová, Diana Mária ; Bureš,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
Submitted master´s thesis examines research of connections between the type of limestone and the process of decarbonation. Types of limestones and genesis of limestones are described in the theoretical part of the thesis, followed by the description of the process of decarbonation, methods used for analysis of limestone structure and research of solved problems. Experimental part of the thesis describes HT-XRD analysis, SEM analysis and simultaneous TG/DTA analysis performed on chosen group of limestone samples. The process of decarbonation and the change of microstructure of the developing calcium oxide are examined from the obtained data.

Study on the impact of the grinding process on the properties of alite
Ravaszová, Simona ; Všianský,, Dalibor (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the impact of three different grinding technologies for milling and grain crystallographic properties of the synthetically prepared pure alite. It studies the lenght of the milling process and the impact of grinding technology to crystallinity, grain shape and slope of the preffered mineral orientation in preparing specimens for XRD – analysis.
