Self-Service Business Intelligence in the Management of Business Informatics (MBI)

The bachelor thesis is focused on the development of reference model MBI (Management of Business Informatics) exerted on the land of the Department of Information Technologies in the University of Economics in collaboration with the Department of Software Engineering CTU. The aim of this thesis is the introduction issues of implementation and operation of the Self-Service Business Intelligence solutions in the company. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part briefly describes principles of the Self-Service BI solution, it defines its potential benefits and effects in the company and compares the possibilities of using Self-Service BI with traditional Business Intelligence solution. The second part is focused on the already mentioned expansion of the MBI model. There are introduced the most common tasks related to the implementation and operation of Self-Service BI in this part, their links to user roles and important factors that may be affected by this solution.
Identification of the state of the market with self-service BI tools

The focus of this thesis is the Self-service Business Intelligence. The aim of this paper is to analyze the state of the market with BI tools supporting self-service approach. The thesis acquaints readers with the trending Self-service BI and describes criteria needed for being included in this category. The practical part determines to what extent are the currently available BI tools fulfilling those criteria. The thesis could therefore be useful for BI users as a guide for choosing a product enabling them to be more self-sufficient and as a result, more effective.
