Parallel genetic algorithm
Trupl, Jan ; Kobliha, Miloš (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis describes design and implementation of various evolutionary algorithms, which were enhanced to use the advantages of parallelism on the multiprocessor systems along with ability to run the computation on different machines in a computer network. The purpose of these algorithms is to find the global extreme of function of $n$ variables. In the thesis, there are demonstrated various optimization problems, and their effective solution with the help of evolutionary algorithms. There are also described interface libraries MPI(Message Passing Interface) and OpenMP, in the extent needed to understand the problematic of parallel evolutionary algorithms.
Motor skills exhibited by three year old children diagnosed with SGA.
Macečková, Silvie ; Zounková, Irena (advisor) ; Smolíková, Libuše (referee)
Bibliographic identification Author's first name and surname: Silvie Macečková, BA. Title of the master thesis: Motor skills exhibited by three year old children diagnosed with SGA. Department: Department of physiotherapy Supervisor: PaedDr. Irena Zounková, Ph.D. The year of presentation: 2018 Abstract This thesis is focused on the issue of children with a history of low birth for gestational age (SGA) in relation to motor problems. Its theoretical part summarizes the specifics of the development of these individuals and defines the problems of terminology and classification. It deals with the risks associated with early postnatal periods and long-term complications with metabolic and neurological impacts. The target of this study was to find out whether motor disorders are more common in children with a history of SGA (IUGR) than those of general population. The test group and the general population group underwent kinesiological examination by aspects and a battery of MABC-2 tests. This hypothesis has not been proven. In addition, the thesis aimed to evaluate the possible link between the motor manifestation at the early age and the age of two and three years. Final data from kinesiological examination, case history data, BSID II test results, and MABC- 2 battery tests were used for this purpose....
Differences in growth parameters in SGA / IUGR children and patiens with growth hormone deficiency treated with recombinant growth hormone
Kročilová, Kateřina ; Sedlak, Petr (advisor) ; Lisá, Lidka (referee)
In the Czech Republic is born to 5 % of SGA / IUGR children, about 5, 000 children a year, and their incidence is increasing. In 10 - 15 % does not occur postnatal compensation growth acceleration and growth retardation is then further deepens. Since 2003, these children can be treated by recombinant growth hormone in supraphysiological doses. Master thesis brings informations about SGA / IUGR children and their growth parameters during the first 2 years from the beginning of treatment when the monitoring was carried out at three - month intervals. The results are compared with the group of patients treated with growth hormone for growth hormone deficiency. Growth data was processed by a group of 57 SGA / IUGR children, which was compared with data of 34 children with growth hormone deficiency treated between 2003-2015 with growth hormone. Treatment of both groups of patients was carried out by a suitable therapeutic protocol, with the dose of GH by the respective diagnosis. These parameters were monitored: body height and weight, growth rate, BMI and weight - height ratio of patients. SGA / IUGR and GHD patients showed different growth profile in the initial phase of treatment when GHD patients had higher acceleration peak after 3 months of starting treatment and steeper increase in growth rate....

Intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR / SGA) - causes, clinical view, consequences
Kročilová, Kateřina ; Sedlak, Petr (advisor) ; Čermáková, Ivana (referee)
Deficient intrauterine growth may point to a serious health problem of fetus. It is associated with increased perinatal and neonatal mortality and morbidity. Long-term health consequences have been reported in IUGR / SGA children. There are many factors leading to intrauterine growth retardation. What is important is early diagnosis and distinction of children with prenatal growth deficiency (IUGR) and children constitutionally small for gestational age (SGA). This bachelor thesis summarizes basic knowledge of this disease and describes the various practices for the treatment of growth hormone.
