Educational Model of Synthetic Aperture Sonar Using Range-Doppler Algorithm
Bartoš, Martin
This paper deals with synthetic aperture imaging techniques in ultrasound spectrum. The paper provides description of Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) experiment with low-cost components in laboratory environment. The Range-Doppler Algorithm for signal processing, which is one of the imaging algorithm, is also depicted in this paper. The theoretical resolution is compared with that of the experimental results.
Selected methods of mortality analysis focused on adults and the oldest age-groups
Hulíková Tesárková, Klára ; Burcin, Boris (advisor) ; Dzúrová, Dagmar (referee) ; Fiala, Tomáš (referee)
Selected methods of mortality analysis focused on adults and the oldest age-groups Abstract Questions about human life span, longevity and mortality in general are natural to almost everyone. This Doctoral Thesis deals with one central question - whether some limit of human life span or of its improvements exists. It is rather a methodological work, therefore its aim is to introduce not only relevant theories but above all the methods usable in the mortality analysis focused on adults or the oldest-old. At the beginning the most important theories and opinions of scientist dealing with mortality are introduced. In the first half of the analytical part mainly the traditional and basic approaches are included. The theme of life tables is opened by an analysis of its construction in the Czech Republic, together with its possible modifications. As a result the independent macro code for the SAS software is attached in the electronic Appendix. This macro enables to calculate the unknown parameters of selected mortality laws by the method of weighted non-linear least squares and to produce the smoothed and extrapolated values of mortality rates. Using the individual life durations, life tables according to education attainment were constructed (also attached in the electronic Appendix). In the second half of the...
Analysis of the Internet population
Puldová, Olga ; Hlavsa, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kudlík, Michal (referee)
This bachelor's thesis addresses internet population in Czech republic. The literary research is divided into four sections. The first section explains the concept of internet and discusses its origin and development. A general internet user and users of internet in European Union are characterized in the second section. The third section is focused on internet population of Czech Republic. The last section of research is dedicated to research companies engaged in analyzation of internet population in Czech Republic. The practical section of this thesis maps internet population in Czech Republic in the years 2010 to 2015 and predicts its progress in 2016. It analysis internet users in selected sociodemographic views: representation of men and women, age structure and education level. Data are described using exploratory data analysis and they are processed using time series in statistic software SAS.

Distributed System for School Register of Basic and Secondary Schools
Martiš, Viktor ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Ráb, Jaroslav (advisor)
One of the software success condition on the software market is permanent development to keep in condition with actual technical tools. That is the reason why SAS software is searching for a way how to fulfil customer's requirements better. The change to the distributed system architecture brings new opportunities and sets up competitive advantage for SAS concurrently. The subject of this thesis is to create the design of movement to the distributed system. The main reason is to make analysis, design and partial implementation meeting functional requirements of the new architecture.
Monitoring of Internet and its benefits to business tools from SAS Institute
Moravec, Petr ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Rott, Ondrej (referee)
This Thesis is focused on the ways of getting information from the World Wide Web source . The Introduction pays attention to the theoretical approach towards data collection options . The main part of the Introduction is engaged in the Web Crawler program as the possibility of data collection from internet and consequently they are followed by alternative methods of data collection. E.g. Google Search API. The next part of the Thesis is dedicated to SAS products and their meanings in the context of reporting and internet monitoring. SAS Intelligence platform is presented as the crucial Company platform In the framework of the platform there could be found concrete SAS solutions. SAS Web Crawler and Semantic Server are described in SAS Content Categorization solution. Whilst the first two parts of Thesis are focused on the theory , the third and closing part pays attention to practical examples. There are illustrated examples of Internet Data collection, which are mainly realized in SAS. The practical part of Thesis follows the theoretical one and it cannot be detached.
Using the SAS System for Building Data Warehouses and Optimalization of ETL Processes
Pešička, Michal ; Novotný, Ota (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with usability of the SAS system and its components for building and running data warehouse and complete solution of Business Intelligence. In the beginning it introduces the meaning and benefits of putting on Business Intelligence and its spot in an organization. It especially focuses on the running BI project in Kooperativa, a.s., insurance company. The main goal of this thesis is to aim on ETL processes of data warehouse, their specificity, characteristics and regular tasks solved across data layers, measuring their performance and feasibility of ETL optimalization. This optimalization can be considered from two different points of view – the first is a creation and maintenance of the ETL source code, the second is tuning for faster data processing. Log files, which are are the main source for performance monitoring, are processed by macroprogram specially tailored to this particular reason. Gained results are analyzed and on that basis I outline spots that need attention. The last part offers comparison of some alternatives to data transformation process typically solved by ETL tasks. Acquired results could be taken as hints used in designing and tweaking other akin ETL processes.
