Image Stabilization
Ohrádka, Marek ; Beneš, Radek (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with digital image stabilization. It contains a brief overview of the problem and available methods for digital image stabilization. The aim was to design and implement image stabilization system in JAVA, which is designed for RapidMiner. Two new stabilization methods have been proposed. The first is based on the motion estimation and motion compensation using Full-search and Three-step search algorithms. The basis of the second method is the detection of object boundaries. The functionality of the proposed method was tested on video sequences with contain visible shake of the scene, which has beed created for this purpose. Testing results show that with the proper set of input parameters for the object border detection method, successful stabilization of the scene is achieved. The rate of error reduction between images is approximately about 65 to 85%. The output of the method is stabilized image sequence and a set of metadata collected during stabilization, which can be further processed in an environment of RapidMiner.
Lifting Unit for Formula Car
Havel, Jan ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
In this thesis, the author deals with structural design of lifting unit for the formula car. First, he searches in the currently used solutions, followed by selection of appropriate accessories, a preliminary analytical calculation and stress analysis model. In the last part, there is made economic and weight balance.
Preparation of low-dimensional III-V semiconductors
Stanislav, Silvestr ; Detz, Hermann (referee) ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (advisor)
Increasing security awareness in the company
Novák, Petr ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on increasing security awareness in the company. The first chapter contains the theoretical background, which is necessary for creating a security education system. The second chapter deals with the analysis of the current situation, which is needed for determinating the need to increase security awareness. The third and last chapter contains the design of the education system itself.
Formula Student Front Chassis Part Design
Lhota, Martin ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
Martin Lhota Formula Student Front Chassis Part Design DW, IAE, 2011, 75 pp, 62 pics The aim of the thesis is to suggest a suitable configuration of Formula Student Car’s front part of a frame according to current rules of SAE organization in the Formula Student competition. In this proposal low weight, manufacturability and sufficient torsion rigidity were preferred, whereas previously suggested solutions were reflected. At first there is presented a list of important SAE rules for the construction of front part followed by a short recherché of development of the constructional solution of frames and frames suitable for Formula Students car. Secondly there is described process during frame construction design and its computational model for the analysis which simulates torsion with the support of MKP system. Gained results and some parameters of the frame are compared with similar version of the frame construction which was suggested and made for the first Formula Student Car of our University. Moreover, there is also presented summary of suggested frame and also recommendation with possible alternatives for the next development.
Influence of Staphylococcus aureus Quorum sensing system to antibiotic tolerance
Šaňková, Michaela ; Lichá, Irena (advisor) ; Buriánková, Karolina (referee)
Staphylococcus aureus is a gram-positive opportunistic pathogenic bacterium that causes a range of chronic infections especially to weakened individuals. Recently, the most serious problem in clinical medicine has been infections caused by so-called persisters. They form a subpopulation of cells that, thanks to adaptations to stressful conditions, are able to withstand lethal doses of antibiotics and then cause an infection again. Agr system, which is responsible for the mechanism of quorum-sensing, plays the main role in switching between the active virulent form and the persistent form associated with biofilm formation. During chronic infections, adaptive mutations accumulate in this Agr system and affect the ability to persist. For the purpose of this thesis, clinical isolates were obtained from patients diagnosed with cystic fibrosis in chronological order within the first three years of their lives. The aim of this thesis was to confirm the influence of adaptive mutations on the persistence ability of clinical isolates and also to observe how the membrane potential and metabolic activity change depending on the on the action of selected antibiotics. Additional aim was to create a deletion of the response regulator AgrA gene using the CRISPR/Cas9 system. In order to characterize the persistence...
