Analysis of relations between NATO and Russia in terms of energy security

Am of the thesis is to analyze the development of the relations between NATO and Russia since the eastern enlargement of NATO in 2004 until the formation of a New Strategic Concept in 2010 with an emphasis on theenergy diplomacy of Russia in the post-Soviet region.The functioning of Russian energy diplomacy is illustrated by the example of two Ukrainian gas wars. Objective of the thesis is to analyze how is Russia using its energy resources at the bilateral level (especially in the Eastern European region) and its influence towards NATO. There is an instrumental nature in understanding of the energy policy by Russia, which subsequently affects the potential expansion of NATO in the post-Soviet space. The conclusion is that European NATO and the U.S. should seek to maximize the diversification of energy resources to stabilize their negotiating position with the Russians.

THE AIM OF THIS DOCUMENT In connection with the domestic Ukrainian crisis and the external Russian aggression towards the country, we are witnessing a surge of disinformation, falsehoods and facts taken out of context which are to conceal or bias the image of reality. The disinformation thwarts a serious debate on the issues which are crucial for the Ukrainian context and which the Czech public needs to know about. This is why the European Values Think-Tank addressed the prominent Czech and Slovak experts to create this document. Its main goal is to refute the most frequent myths and falsehoods about Ukraine and focus the Czech debate on the real state of affairs. We strongly believe that this document will help various persons (journalists, commentators, editors, analytics, politicians etc.) to understand and shed light on the events in Ukraine. The text was written by a group of experts who have been interested in Ukraine for a long time and are really in touch with the country. The document does not speak in favour of any institution which the authors work for. The European Values Think-Tank is responsible for the content.

Bachelor thesis describes the Russian tradition of conducting in St. Petersburg. The text aims to provide a comprehensive insight into the musical culture of the city, especially focusing on the conductor. The thesis points out the major institutions of the city: the Mariinsky Theatre, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the State Conservatory of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. The text emphasizes the work of three prominent conductors, who have greatly influenced these institutions and brought worldwide attention to them. These conductors are Eduard Napravnik, Yevgeny Mravinsky and Ilya Musin.

This bachelor thesis aims to point out and describe the consequences of influence of both Victorianism and the person of Queen Victoria on the lifestyle at the Russian Imperial Court at the end of 19th and beginning of 20th century. It describes historical events which shaped Russia and focuses on family relations binding the Romanovs and the English ruling house. The thesis defines the meaning of Victorianism and determines the difference between mentality of Russian and English high Society. It relies on analysis of letters, diary entries and memoirs of the participants of the events mentioned. A brief description of post-Victorian relationship between the two countries concludes the thesis.

This thesis deals with suite for accordion solo by authors of the Russian composition school and specific problems associated with their interpretation at music schools and conservatories. The main goal is to draw attention to the Czech, Slovak and Russian accordion music scene and to analyse chosen accordion suites of three Russian composers. Furthermore, suitability to involve these suites into the repertoires of pupils at elementary music schools and of conservatories students is considered. The general aim is to introduce accordion not only as a folk instrument, but also as a concert one.

In the theoretical part, work is focused on general introduction with a brief history of air transport sector, its importance in the world and in the Czech Republic and its main features, the theoretical part elaborates the importance of air transport and the current trends in aviation industry on the territory of the Russian Federation. In the practical part is analyzed domestic and international air transport in Russia in 2005, 2010 and 2014. In reference periods, the results of the research offer a specific perspective on development and status of domestic and international air transport in Russia. Philosophical interpretation of works of Marc Chagall

This thesis covers the interpretation of life and work of Marc Chagall, jewish painter of 20th century. Goal of the thesis is to highlight symbolic motives of his work, and later on interpret those on selected pieces. The thesis is divided into four parts. First part is devoted to the life of the painter and his jewish origin, which had a significant influence on the character of his work. Second part covers the meaning of symbols in art and religon in general. Third tries to compare Chagall's conveyance with two jewish philosophers of the dialog: E. Lévinas and F. Rosenzweig. Fourth then interprets selected pieces with philosophical or religious extent. Whole thesis is based on the conception that art is able to convey messages and interpret the world around us.
