Vítek, Vojtěch ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
Nowadays, web applications and browsers are undergoing rapid development - we can say that the progress of Internet technologies is unstoppable phenomenon of the last decade. The need for the best-possible CPU performance in web applications to achieve a smooth user experience is enormous - besides the continuous improvements of existing technologies, we can see several new technologies arising every year. This thesis deals with development of native code web browser extensions whose primary purpose is to use maximum CPU performance as well as efforts to improve the user experience when viewing web pages.
Posouzení vlivu země původu a způsobu zpracování na mikrobiotu vybraného koření
Menoušková, Karolína
The diploma thesis deals with the requirements for the quality of spices. It mainly deals with the microbial contamination of spices, factors of influence and possible means to prevent its contamination. Furthermore, the work deals with the characteristics of spices of the genus Capsicum, its range and possible use. In the practical part of the work, the microbial contamination of spices in peppers and chilli was determined. Individual spice samples differed depending on the country of origin, the method of technological processing, physical treatment and the content of capsaicin. During the microbiological analysis, the total number of microorganisms (CPM), the numbers of coliform bacteria and Escherichia coli, moulds and yeast, or the presence of Clostridum perfringens were monitored. The highest CPM value (4,49 log KTJ·g−1) was detected in the sample of ground chilli from China. A higher number of coliform bacteria and E. coli (2,49 log KTJ·g−1) was observed in the sample of sweet pepper from Spain. A significantly higher number of moulds and yeasts (3,13 log KTJ·g−1) was recorded in the sample of ground goulash pepper from the Czech Republic. In the case of Cl. perfringens, the presence of this bacterium was showed in 3 of 13 pepper and chilli spice samples. During the laboratory experiment, no significant deviations of occurrence of the monitored microorganisms were detected in comparison with the recommended limits or the results of scientific studies. The results show that microbial contamination may be affected by the country of origin, the physical treatment, or the alkaloid content of capsaicin, which evidences an antimicrobial activity. When monitoring the effect of technological processing on the spice microbiota, there was no statistically significant difference between the monitored pepper samples (P < 0,05).

Music As A Sign
JAROLÍMOVÁ, Jana
The thesis is interested in the problem of musical sign. In which ways can we speak about musical sign and which elements of musical material can become signs? These are the basic questions which we are interested in. This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part attends to the common theory of sign. The historical survey with the main ideas of philosophers and thinkers will be helpful to find out basic terms and problems of semiotics. In the second part of thesis we look at the historical reflection of musical sign in order to find out in which way it was treated with music and musical sign in each historical period of European music. In the third part we focus on musical semiotics, but we will consider some problems of musical aesthetics and musical psychology, too. In the end we make recapitulation of answers to the aforesaid questions.
Positive influence of humate on the growth of selected plant species
Šerá, Božena ; Novák, František ; Gajdová, Iveta
Stimulatory effect of humic and fulvic acids extracted from local sources of peat (the origin of CR) on germination and early growth of hemp (Cannabis sativa L.), poppy (Papaver somniferum L.), pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) and rape (Brassica napus subsp. napus) was verified. Experiments were performed in standard laboratory conditions. Dry weight of sprout was determined. Obtained data were evaluated by the ANOVA test. Tested plants can be arranged in the order from the significant positive effect on the dry weight to the negative one as follows: hemp, poppy, pepper, rape.
