Proposal for Changes in the Company Information System
Keclík, David ; Neuwirth, Bernard (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
The main aim of this diploma thesis is to propose for changes in the company information system. Document content is focuse on analyse, implementation and using data warehouse and usage advance to optimaze methods for achievement added value to users. The first part of this thesis is focused on choice of suitable concept of data warehouse, implementation and possible problems. In the second part, I compare assets of this system with costs for development and administration.
Visibility Determination in 3D Maze
Hodes, Vít ; Pečiva, Jan (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This work is about solving the visibility problem in the environment of simple 3D maze by means of BSP tree and PVS computation between leaves. It contains description of key algorithms and processes for achieving this goal. In the core of this work were all of the implemented ways of drawing measured and mutually compared. At the end are outlined next possible steps in development and evaluating achieved results.
Automatic Largescale Processing of Testing Results
Klem, Richard ; Šnobl, Pavel (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of automated processing of large volumes of data in a relational database environment. The thesis focuses on the current situation in the Codasip company and solves the insufficiently fast implementation of materialized views updates. The result of the thesis is a draft to modify the current system. This draft successfully solves problems with slow data processing. The implemented solution then brought an average acceleration of the update of materialized views by 93 % and for some materialized views an acceleration of 99 %. This solution will help Codasip increase the efficiency of processor core development, as well as their other products. At the same time, this thesis can serve as a case study of optimizing slow database queries when processing large amounts of data.

Impact of partitioning on the performance of Oracle database
Řeháček, Tomáš ; Macák, Petr (advisor) ; Palovská, Helena (referee)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide information about how to use partitioning in an Oracle database and to determine its effect on change in performance during database load. Description of this additional functionality and proposal appropriate testing environment in which it is possible to make measurements were necessary in order to achieve the main goal. The contribution is in the recommendations that can be drawn on the basis of the values obtained during tests performed. The thesis examines general options of partitioning, benefits and costs that are associated with its use, application partitioning methods and management capabilities. Tests are conducted on a large number of scenarios in the practical part. Conclusions, recommendation and suitable conditions for use of partitioning are based on tests.
Technologies for storing and processing of extremely large volumes of data in the ORACLE
Spurný, Petr ; Macák, Petr (advisor) ; Krch, David (referee)
The aim of the Bachelor's thesis is to provide an overview and description of such technologies in the Oracle database, which can be used for work with extremely large volumes of data and to verify the benefits of some of these technologies in practice. At the beginning, the work deals with problems of large amounts of data in general and seeks to define the size of data in the database systems. In the theoretical part, several different technologies will be introduced. The greatest emphasis is placed on various forms of partitioning. The practical part contains a proposal for the implementation of tests, building automated test procedures, and for the execution of these tests. The work can be used as a quick guide in case of dealing with performance issues with large volumes of data. Making any changes for the particular case is easy according to examples given in the text. Last, but not least, the work may help with automatic testing procedures, which can be used with a slight adjustment for a wide range of test cases.
