Power side channel
Zapletal, Ondřej ; Mácha, Tomáš (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with side-channel cryptoanalysis. It is focused on power side-channel attack on cryptographic device. The microcontroller PIC is used as the cryptographic device. This microcontroller performs encryption through the symmetrical algorithm AES. For the purpose of simple and differential power analysis, we designed and constructed an experimental printed circuit board. The power consumption of the microcontroller PIC working with instruction AddRoundKey and SubBytes was scanned by a Tektronix CT-6 current probe. Data obtained by measuring were processed on the computer with relevant software and provided important information about the encryption key that was used.
Robot Controlled by PIC Microprocessor Unit
Heřman, Petr ; Luža, Radim (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis describes design of a cheap robot. It includes implementation of firmware of low level control unit based on microcontroller PIC. The firmware drives motors, gains sensors data and communicates with the high level control unit. Furthermore the thesis presents realisation of connection to the robotic operation system ROS and its standard structures allowing usage of existing packages for the robot teleoperation and displaying sensor data on the remote computer. The thesis finally reports experiments with the robot. The constructed prototype is the model of the robotic lawn mower, however the whole solution has universal usage.
Temperature Recorder for Microelectronic Assembly
Karmazín, Michal ; Adámek, Martin (referee) ; Šandera, Josef (advisor)
The work is aimed at device development for temperature measuring during mounting and demounting of surface mounted devices. Electrical scheme and source code for microcontroller are enclosed.
Peltier temperature controller
Průcha, Jan ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Rampl, Ivan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis contains a description of all functional elements of biological thermostat. There is described Peltier element and Peltier effect, in which it is based. For power control of Peltier element there are described different types of regulators - PID, PSD and ways of determining of controller parameters. Control of the element is realized by PIC microcontroller, specifically the PWM module. There are explained most frequent methods of temperature measuring, circuit elements for controlling the Peltier element and other important pieces of this device.

Model of Crossroads Control Which Uses PIC Microcontrollers
Skucius M. ; Kalandřík M.
: In our study, we aimed to use our knowledge in programming micro controllers. Model of crossroads control which uses PIC was created to enhance the teaching of programmable controllers. Another objective of this project was to create the possibility of compatibility between the PIC and the programmable controller. We have achieved everything we had intended.
