Educational processes focusing on health education in children's homes

This diploma thesis is focused on finding out the educational procedures used by educators in orphanages related to health education. The theoretical part discusses the concepts of health education and institutional care in the Czech Republic. In the practical part was ascertained the view of educators and head educators in orphanages on the physical and mental health of entrusted children and their eating and drinking habits. These data were collected by creating a self designed survey, containing 28 questions. The results obtained from the survey show that 66,7 % of educater respondents are sufficiently engaged in physical activity of children, 69,4 % talks to children about healthy eating and 77,8 % of educater respondents know some techniques of stress regulation.

The role of reading in orphanages in the Czech Republic

(anglicky) This master thesis deals with the role of reading in children's homes in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part shows the institutional care in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part presents the basic facts of developmental psychology and reading skills of children who are growing up in an children's home. The master thesis includes a research about the role of reading in children's homes and also a research about children's homes staff, which allows access to information for children. The methodological part contains information about selected technology for the research and infromation how was the research made. The analytical part contains the outputs of the research and its components are also meant to be used for improvements.
The history of slum care in Susice untill 1938

The study is engaged in history of slum care in Susice from the 14th century untill 1945. The above mentioned study contains a theoretical part, where I focused on social care in Bohemia, then I brought to your attention the history of Susice and at last my work mentions in detail the history of slum care in Bohemia dated from the first written sources untill 1945. I have chronologically described the developement of individual social institutes, foundations and associations, which devoted to the care of poor and sick in Susice.
