The decision boundary

The main aim of this master's thesis is to describe the subject of the implementation of decision boundaries with the help of artificial neural networks. The objective is to present theoretical knowledge concerning this field and on practical examples prove these statements. The work contains basic theoretical description of the field of pattern recognition and the field of feature based representation of objects. A classificator working on the basis of Bayes decision is presented in this part, and other types of classificators are named as well. The work then deals with artificial neural networks in more detail; it contains a theoretical description of their function and their abilities in the creation of decision boundaries in the feature plane. Examples are shown from literature for the use of neural networks in corresponding problems. As part of this work, the program ANN-DeBC was created using Matlab, for the generation of practical results about the usage of feed-forward neural networks for the implementation of decision boundaries. The work contains a detailed description of this program, and the achieved results are presented and analyzed. It is shown as well, how artificial neural networks are creating decision boundaries in the form of geometrical shapes. The effects of the chosen topology of the neural network and the number of training samples on the success of the classification are observed, and the minimal values of these parameters are determined for the successful creation of decision boundaries at the individual examples. Furthermore, it's presented how the neural networks behave at the classification of realistically distributed training samples, and what methods can affect the shape of the created decision boundaries.

This bachelor’s thesis presents the design of a computer network for a new building of company RENISHAW s.r.o.. The first part is focused on theory and general information from the area of computer networks. In the second part is defined problems, describes the current situation and the requirements of the investor. The third part includes the design project of new computer network, which is created on the investor's requirements, a description of the materials and a calculation of the implementation costs.

This thesis deals with routing processes of computer networks, overview of netwrok topologies and commonly used routing algorythms. It includes detailed description of created application to graphycal dysplay of networks schemes and routing. It contains transformation process of some schemes and the visualisation of all routing steps like an animation. The potency of usage and future development is commented briefly.

The starting point of this thesis is the analysis of the current state of the corporate computer network, which was evaluated as not satisfying. The result is a design of WAN network, which satisfies the requirements of the investor. The solution also includes the project of implementation and financial calculation of the project.

Master thesis deals with the design of network topologies with multiple redundant links for investor’s local area network. The objective of the thesis is to design more topology proposals according to investor’s requirements and applied technologies. Design is based on an analysis of the current state, which describes current topology of investor’s network. The main part of the thesis proposes a solution based on currently available network redundancy protocols. The functionality of the proposed solutions is tested in laboratory conditions. Finally, the individual variants are compared and their individual benefits evaluated.

For my paper I have chosen project of a wireless network, which will be actually applied at SOS Podyji. In my paper I will deal with selection of a suitable concept of the wireless network and the functional use of the concept. In a theoretical part of my paper I will engage in wireless networks in general and in security of wireless networks. In a practical part of my paper I will select the most convenient solution, combining the chosen concept, security features and networking devices. I will select the networking devices with regard to their price.
Discovery of Wireless Sensor Network Topology Using Genetic Algorithms

The thesis deals with a design of the genetic algorithm that is able to discover the wireless sensor network topology using signal strength among particular sensors. At first, the thesis describes the theory of genetic algorithm and wireless sensor network. Subsequently, on the basis of this theory, the genetic algorithm serving for the wireless sensor network topology discovery has been designed. The thesis also describes important features of the algorithm implementation. In conclusion, the outcomes have been reviewed.

I have chosen the topic "Design of computer network for small company" for the elaborating of my thesis. I will deal with analyzing of the current quality of computer network company in IP IZOLACE POLNÁ, s.r.o., describing of the theoretical way-outs and last but not least, own suggested solutions in this work. Today (present) computer network is not sufficient, especially due to expansion of the company and therefore its recovery is important. Relevant standards must be complied and also the budget that the company is willing to invest must be kept during elaboration of my work.
