Design of a web map application for point field visualization

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create a web map application in the locality of Nečtiny. Other sub- objectives are to analyze the creation of web map applications. Specifically, to analyze the commercial and non-commercial way of creating web map applications using Leaflet and ArcGIS Web AppBuilder. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts related to web cartography, WebGIS, as well as web map applications, map portals and concepts related to the topic. Furthermore, technological aspects of web maps, such as programming languages, are introduced. In the next chapter, tools for creating web map applications are introduced. Then the criteria that the application should meet are set out. In the practical part, an evaluation of the different paths for creating web map applications is then made based on the criteria. This is followed by the key part of this work, namely the design of the web map application and then its actual creation using both commercial and freely available software and tools. The output of the work are two applications for the locality of Nečtiny. One created using the Leaflet JavaScript library and the other using Esri technologies such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Web AppBuilder.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create a web map application in the Nečtiny locality using GIS. Other sub-goals are to analyze the tools used to create web map applications for specific uses. Specifically, to analyze Leaflet, OpenLayers and ArcGIS Web AppBuilder technologies, and subsequently using one of the open and one of the commercial technologies to create a web map application. In the theoretical part, both basic terms related to cartography, web cartography, WebGIS, as well as web map applications, map portals and terms related to the topic are explained. Furthermore, the technological aspects of web maps are presented, such as programming languages, source code or client-server communication. In the next chapter, individual tools are presented, both GIS software and tools for creating web map applications. The criteria that the application should meet are then set. In the practical part, an evaluation of individual technologies for the creation of web map applications is then carried out based on the criteria. The following is the key part of this work, namely the design of a web map application and subsequently its creation itself using both commercial and freely available software and tools. The phenomenon of relict border and its influence on the religiosity of the population and the sacral landscape in Manětín

The presented diploma thesis deals with the effects of the Czech-German relict border on the religiosity and the sacral landscape of the city region called Manetin, which consists of the permanent Czech territory and the Nectiny village of German historical origin. The theoretical introduction of this work therefore includes a part dedicated to the topic of borders, introducing different types of borders, focusing particularly on the terms relict and ethnic borders used in the further study. The second part of the theoretical introduction contains the characteristics of the religiosity and the sacral landscape, its evolution on the national level after the Second World War, highlighting the consequent processes related to the exile of the German population after 1945. The research section of the thesis consists of the micro-regional analysis of the reference region. The analysis is based on the field study which consists of semi-structured interviews, which were complemented by the descriptive statistical analysis and method of observing the condition and location of sacral objects.
