This thesis de als with career of nobleman officer in the age of Napoleonic wars. Career is examined on the destiny of John Nepomuk imperial count Nostitz-Rieneck. Career is divided into three basic parts. Begining of career, main service and end of career. Thesis begins and tracks wars with France to the end of Napoleonic Wars. Career of John Nepomuk is comleted with careers of Charles of Schwarzenberg and Wenceslaw Radecký of Radec.

English and Russian caricature during Napoleon's Russian Campaign 1812 Napoleon's Russian campaign of 1812 provided an oportunity to Compaq reflexions of this event, in which two approaches of carricature eastern and western, met and reacted on their common enemy, Napoleon I. Beside evaluation of the literature this work will also aim, by formal and iconographic analysis for the cultural and historical context of the development of the caricature and it's position in a framework of the more respected and prestigious sorts of art such as painting and graphic art, thus to indicate the connection and development role of the caricature for period art. The chosen topic is, by it's constriction, coresponding to cruicial historical event. An event which was in many ways the begining of the new art of the 19th century.
Everyday Life of British Soldiers during the Peninsular War 1807-1814

(in English): Author of this thesis analyses everyday life of the British infantrymen during the Peninsular war in the years 1807 - 1814. Considering the large scale this topic, the author decided to focus only on specific aspects. On the base of it, the thesis is divided to four chapters. First chapter deals with general diplomatic and military context, second chapter deals with everyday life of British soldiers on British Isles, which means recruiting, drill and quartering. Third chapter deals with marches, camping and sickness rate. In fourth chapter there is short analysis of the British infantry tactics. Author also tries to analyse "battle experience" of British soldiers. Last chapter deals with wounds and their cure.

Latin American Emancipation in the Context of International Great Powers Policy in the Years 1815-1826

This work, the way its name suggests it, is intent on the theme of process of achievement of the Latin American states' independence of Spain and Portugal, and on situating of this process in the context of the events of this time in further world's parts, and mainly in the context of the policies of single powers which had, or could have, some interests in the said spaces. Likewise the name itself suggests, its chief interest is intent primarily on the period of the years 1815-1826. While in Europe the Napoleonic Wars had definitively ended, and a new order here was creating, according to principles of the Vienna Congress, and under the supervision of the Holy Alliance, Spanish America had gone through first phase of her own wars of liberation, and it could seem, on the beginning, the situation here was coming anew to profit of the Spanish monarchy, recuperating from the precedent years of the French rule and the war with French intruders. However, the struggle of independence of single Hispanic-American states was continuing, like the Portuguese Brazil reached for own independence of colonial metropolis as well.
