Government concept of the fight against corruption from 1999 to the present

This thesis is dedicated to government anti-corruption struggle in the period from 1999 to present. The key objective is to evaluate which of the measures specified in the government policies were fulfilled and if they have a real impact on reducing the scope for corruption. The theoretical part explains the concept of corruption and the basis of the various typologies of this concept. Following the demarcation of motives for corrupt behavior and the costs associated with this behavior, then I allude to various ways of measuring corruption used in the Czech environment. Next chapter focuses on the definition of corruption from the perspective of criminal law whereas links to crimes with signs of corruption. In the practical part are incorporated findings from previous chapters to evaluate the government's anti-corruption policies within a specified period. The conclusion analyzes the nuanced measures which government has overlooked and also assesses the priorities of particular parts of Anti-Corruption Barometer, which are not sufficiently applied in the Czech Republic.
The Effectiveness of the EIA Procedure in the Czech Republic from the point of view of the Particular Actors Involved - Actual Stage and Recommendations for Improvement

The aim of the theses is to assess on the background of the actual stage of the international, European (EU) and national level of the EIA procedure legislation the effectiveness of this procedure in the Czech Republic, both regarding the requirements laid down for this procedure on the EU level as well as from the view of the particular national actors involved (i.e. developers, competent authorities, expert's reports makers and public concerned). The thesis has been divided into five substantial chapters. The first one describes the outcomes of the EIA procedure as such. The subsequent second and third chapter summarise the actual stage of the environmental impact assessment procedure on the supranational (international and EU) and national level. The fourth chapter deals with the effectiveness of EIA procedure in its current stage in the Czech Republic: it describes and compares the particular shortcomings of this procedure from both the point of view of the requirements laid down for the EIA procedure on the EU level as well as the point of view of the national actors concerned. On this background, the fifth chapter assesses the overall effectiveness of the EIA procedure in the Czech Republic and submits recommendations for possible improvements.

Fundraising in the selected NGO´s involved in the health and social sphere in České Budějovice This thesis brings the information of the fundraising in non-profit organisation involved in the health and social sphere in České Budějovice. The theoretical part of this thesis is devoted to the definition of the NGO´s, methods of fundraising and sources of financial support for non-profit organization. The methods of quantitative research were used in this thesis. As technique was selected the technique of questioning, representatives of the NGO´s filled in the questionnaire. A non-profit organization is an organization whose primary objective is to support an issue or matter of private interest or public concern for non-commercial purposes, without concern for monetary profit. A non-profit organization may be involved in a wide range of areas relating to the arts, social issues, charities, early childhood education, healthcare, politics, religion, research, sports or some other endeavor. Fundraising is the process of soliciting and gathering money or other gifts in-kind, by requesting donations from individuals, businesses, charitable foundations, or governmental agencies. Although fundraising typically refers to efforts to gather funds for not-for-profit organizations, it is sometimes used to refer to the identification and solicitation of investors or other sources of capital for for-profit enterprises. Fundraising is not the primary way that non-profit organizations obtain the money for their operations. These operations can involve a very broad array of concerns such as religious or philanthropic groups such as research organizations, public broadcasters, and political campaigns. A Capital Campaign is when fundraising is conducted to raise major sums for a building or endowment. Special events are another method of rasing funds. This thesis can be used as an educational stuff for the people, whose are interested in NGO´s and methods of fundraising.
