Performance Evaluation of the Company COLORprofi, spol. s r.o. Based on the EVA Indicator

This diploma thesis focuses on the performance evaluation of a selected company through the modern indicator of Economic Value Added (EVA). The company´s financial health is outlined by a financial analysis. The analysis became the basis for the calculation of the EVA indicator. Selected adjustments to the accounting data are necessary for the calculation. Based on the findings measures are proposed that contribute to the increase of Economic Value Added and eliminate the effects of its decline.

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of impact on the economic crisis from 2008 on tourism, focused on accommodation in the Czech republic. The basis for this analysis are data obtained from the Amadeus database. The theoretical part is related to the economic importance of tourism and the history of economic crises in the context to the 2008 crisis. In practical part is analysed the economic indicator of the effectiveness of INFA Spread. Graphical analysis is further complemented by correlation analysis, ANOVA analysis and trend analysis by LOESS. Finally, the results are summarized, compared and discussed with developments in times of crisis in European countries.

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of a selected set of ten business en-tities from the dairy industry in the specific period from 2009 to 2016. The aim of the thesis is to identify the key factors affecting economic added value in selected business entities, especially focusing on indicators affecting development sales. The introductory part describes the theoretical framework and case studies, which include issues closely related to the topic of the thesis. The second part is devoted to the analysis of financial ratios data and the economic value added of selected companies. Based on the results of this analysis, key factors affecting EVA are identified using mathematical-statistical methods. In the last part, there are suggestions that will lead to an increase in the EVA indicator in given companies or in the whole dairy industry, focusing on indicators that influence sales.

Capital structure of a company

Thesis on The capital structure of the company deals with the most suitable form of financing business activities. The aim is to clarify the most important types of capital that businesses can use to raise funds and to summarize the main theories about optimal capital structure, including their impact on the Czech market. The practical part is dedicated to find a weight average cost of capital function based on the classical theory of capital structure and the subsequent search for her optima. To outline the real environment on the capital market, there were presented some previous research indications and foundations of literature. For modeling the WACC function and search its minimum there were used some of recent economical conclusions and basic mathematical principles. The thesis is concluded with a quadratic model, resulting in abstract terms, which demonstrates the influence of each variable and could also be used to track the influence of each one, or as a basis for managerial decision making.
Cost of capital

This master thesis's aim is to determine the price of the individual components of the company´s capital and to consider approaches to capital costs including their influence on the scale of the business performance. The thesis is divided into two main parts. In the theoretical part I deal with the capital structure of property, theories of its optimization, approaches to cost calculation of the equity and foreign capital. Also the weighted averages costs of capital were described. Furthermore, the economic value added as a method of an evaluation of busi-ness performance was defined. In the practical part there are several basic information about the rated compa-ny defined in the introduction. In the next part of the thesis I detect the price of the individual components of the company's capital and I judge approaches to capital cost, including their impact on economic value added. As a basis for the evaluation serve the financial statements of the company and information from company's management. To determine the cost of capitals following models were used: capital asset pricing model (CAPM) and the modular model. Overall financial situation of the business can be assessed negatively. In all three variations of calculating economic value added, the company didn´t generate an economic profit within years 2010 2014.

The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluating the performance of a selected group of companies for the use of modern methods. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part contains a review of the literature, which provides information related to the topic. In the second part is calculated financial analysis of a selected group of companies using classic and modern indicators and benchmarking. Based on the results of the financial analysis using mathematical-statistical methods creates a model that represents factors, that have the most influence on indicator economic value added. The conclusion according to the results is to make recommendations, which preserve or improve performance of a selected companies or the entire sector.
Klíčové komponenty ukazatele EVA v zemědělských podnicích

The objective of this PhD thesis is to identify key components which have the most significant impact on the economic value added of agricultural enterprises. The literature review is mainly focused on agricultural enterprise as the part of the agrarian sector, hence the Common Agricultural Policy, respectively the agricultural subsidies policy is described and the risks related to doing business in agriculture are defined. This part of the dissertation also briefly discusses the most common measures used in order to evaluate enterprise financial performance while the economic value added is elaborated more in details. In subsequent analytical part correlation analysis, regression analysis and cluster analysis are applied in order to identify the key factors affecting the value of EVA indicator. As such factors mainly profit from operating activities and the level of debts bearing interest are defined. For the conclusion, I suggest possible approaches to influence these factors with the aim to increase the economic value added in the agricultural enterprises.

Master’s thesis is focused on the application of valuation methods chosen company Kornfeil spol. s r.o. Methods of measurement are specified in the thesis. This thesis describes process of valuation of selected company. Steps in the valuation, financial analysis, strategic analysis, financial plan, the discount rate and the application of valuation methods are specified. In the thesis are applied to revenue and cost valuation method, and finally made their synthesis.
The cost of equity with accent on size of company

This thesis is dedicated to determination of cost of equity capital. The main objective is to evaluate whether the cost of equity may, in its calculations, vary depending on the size of a company. The means for achieving the results can be comparison of calculations of cost of equity by model with historical returns actually achieved. This is what many empirical studies are focused on. A partial goal of this paper is to analyze the results of selected studies and their mutual comparison. Relevant theoretical explanations will be also presented.
