Design of a Chainsaw Mill
Hynek, Jakub ; Vlašic, František (referee) ; Ranuša, Matúš (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the construction of a mobile log saw with an adjustable cutting height and attachment to a tree trunk. Part of the work is a search of known solutions for mobile log saws. The next part deals with conceptual designs and the choice of the most suitable solution. Furthermore, individual structural nodes are elaborated for the selected design and the function of individual parts is described. At the end of the work is the evaluation of the proposed structure.
Design of a chainsaw
Rozkydálek, Tomáš ; Zvonek, Miroslav (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a new design proposal for a motor chainsaw. The goal is to combine modern and functional elements with new technology and timeless design using quality materials. The emphasis is on simple, convenient and safe operation that can be handled and appreciated by both occasional users and professionals from the timber industry.
Rozbor vlivu konstrukce řetězu na úroveň vibrací motorové řetězové pily
Šlechta, Lukáš
The intention of this thesis is to occupy with the influence of a chain to a vibration level of a chainsaw. The first part of this work occupies with a theoretical approach to a vibration problem of a chainsaw, the causes of the vibration and their results, especially from the literary and internet sources. The main concern in the second part is the practical verification of the influence of the construction of chain saw chain change for the vibration of a chain saw. The vibration measurement was made by the cutting different kinds of wooden planks with three different chainsaw chains (POWERsharp, half-chiselled and chiseled profile of woodworking plane tooth). In the last part of this work I evaluate and make a remark of registered values tested chainsaw chains. It was made during the practical exam in the workshops of the Institute of Forestry and Wood Technology in Brno under the expert's supervision.
Hodnocení harvestorové technologie
KOČÍ, David
The aim of this bachelor thesis is try to compare machines for felling trees at two private entrepreneurs with the same production focus but different machines. The main comparison lies in the performance, fuel consumption and financial costs of individual work operations in a pre-designated area. All this information will be converted to the annual work output of the machines.

Příčiny nehod pracovníků lesnických podniků
Hyžák, Jakub
The Bachelor thesis explores the causes of accidents in woodworking enterprise. The Bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part explains the basic characteristics of work accidents, acts and machines which are related to these accidents. Furthermore, the thesis focused on the risk of felling trees and the consequences of their accidents. The work describes factors, which may affect or cause an accident at work. The conclusion of this part is dedicated to work safety. The empirical part is focused on the evaluation obtained data by the structured questionnaire of 20 workers, who works with the chainsaw. The graphic chart contains accidents from an unnamed timber company. The aim of this work is to analyze the most frequent reasons which caused the mentioned accidents.
Hluk a vibrace u motorových pil za vybraných podmínek
Rak, Jakub
The Bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the quality of used oils and petrols on the vibration and noise level of chainsaws. In the theoretical part, the problematics of noise and vibrations are analyzed together with how they affect the human organism, recommended hearing and vibration personal protective equipment and procedures to reduce the exposure time when operating the chainsaw. Further more the work of the two-stroke engine and composition of fuel mixes is discussed. The practical part describes the measuring equipment, fuel mixtures and the measurement procedure. Verifying whether the quality of petrols and oils which has been used has any effect on the quiet running of the engines and reducing their noise. Followed by the measurement data, it‘s analysis and comments on the results provided in the tables and graphs. Firstly, statistically significant results are included and statistically insignificant results are given in the attachment. In the discussion I deal with the measurement itself, where and how the tolerances in the measurements of the petrol mixtures can appear and the reflection whether is worthy to save money on the quality of the fuel mixtures.
Zhodnocení využití malé zahradní techniky jednotkami hasičského záchranného sboru České republiky
Šedivý, Josef
The aims of the thesis are the evaluation and the assessment of the use of the small garden technology during the fire units operations. In the thesis, the operations are divided into the green area maintenance technology at the fire stations and into the techniques for performing rescue and disposal operations. The thesis is mainly focused on the technique used for performing rescue and disposal operations, which are the main activities of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. The thesis compares and evaluates the current state and in particular proposes a new concept of fire trucks equipment with chainsaws. The proposed concept is based on a questionnaire survey, data collection from databases of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, test trials, calculations and personal experiences of the author, a chainsaw instructor. The proposed concept should improve the ability to perform even the most demanding interventions effectively, efficiently, safely and conveniently. And in cost comparison, it is even cheaper.
Analysis of the Damage to Forests in Logging with Selected Logging Methods
Duffek, Petr ; Macků, Jan (advisor) ; Štícha, Václav (referee)
The aim of the bachelor thesis was a summary of a literature review dealing with the impact of logging by chainsaw on the environment. The processing of this topic was preceded by the description of the construction and history of the chainsaw, the treatment with this tool, and the chainsaw maintenance and safe work with it. Further, using chainsaw in forestry was presented and the damage occuring in forest ecosystem components after logging were highlighted. In conclusion, the origin and the extent of damage on the environment were described and processes eliminating these losses as much as possible were designed.
