The topic of this bachelor thesis is the theatrical depiction of a specific historical event - the post-war massacre of the Czech Germans in Postoloprty - in the play Porta apostolorum by Miroslav Bambušek, and the play's staging. The thesis will discuss not only the portrayal of historical events but also the phenomenon of memory itself - specifically, the transfer of a historical event into cultural memory, and representation of trauma.
