Optimization of a small induction machine.
Jedlička, Lukáš ; Knebl, Ladislav (referee) ; Mach, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to improve efficiency of an induction motor. In the first part, the working principle is described. The next part deals with the origin of losses and possible solutions to decreasing losses without impacting the production possibles. The third part of the thesis is focused on the calculation of parameters of a small serial production motor. In the fourth part, these parameters are verified using the analytical tool RMxprt which is included in Ansys Maxwell. The fifth chapter deals with the optimization using Matlab genetic algorithm. In the final chapter, the design modifications are verified using the method of finite element Ansys Maxwell 2D.
FEM Analysis of a Hybrid Synchronous Generator
Suchomel, Vít ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
This work deals with calculation and design of synchronous salient pole generator and then the transformation from this machine into so-called hybrid synchronous machine is described. This diploma thesis is done for company Siemens Electric Machines s.r.o. in Drásov. This company provided their design of synchronous salient pole generator. The model of this generator was created in programs RMxprt and Maxwell 2D. Suggestions and models were compared, and their calculated parameters were evaluated. The created model was upgraded to so-called hybrid synchronous generator. Permanent magnets were added in the created model and influence of these additional magnets is going to be analyzed. Tasks of the work are described in more details. in the introduction. The topic of synchronous generator and hybrid synchronous generator in general is described in the theoretical part. The next part of work deals with the design of salient pole generator. In the other part of the work calculation and design of the generator model are described in Ansys program. Furthermore there are some results from program compared with the results from company. Some model parts and other graphic outputs from Ansys program are shown. After that the creation of hybrid synchronous generator is described and created models of hybrid synchronous generators are compared and evaluated.
Efficiency Improvement of Three Phase Induction Motor
Žák, Ondřej ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
This bacelor thesis looks into problematics of efficiency of induction elektromotors. Due to present tendence of permanently encreasing efficiency, this topic is very actual. How to encrease efficiency but not to encrease material and production cost too much? This is the daily question of every producer of induction elektromotors. This thesis has a target to bring closer understanding of this problematics and describe alternatives, which is possible to follow. On choosen elektromotor produced by ATAS elektromotory Náchod a.s. is made an comparison of analytic calculate, calculate of software RMxprt and Maxwell 2D and real measuring, which refes about limits of individual calculatin methods. Then the design of changes with new calculate is provided and comparison of all results.
Calculation of parameters of small induction motor
Vojče, Zbyněk ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals in the first part with a construction and a principle of function of an induction motor. In the second part deals with an actual analytical calculation of three-phase low power induction motor. Is performed a simulation in a program Ansoft RMxprt, which calculated the characreristics of the motor analytically and simulation in program Maxwell 2D by finite element method. The aim of the work is to compare results of simulations with results of analytical calculation.
Design and analysis of PMSM with concentrated winding
Macek, Pavel ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
Permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) are widely used in many industrial applications. This thesis starts with familiarization with the properties and structure of each type of synchronous machines with permanent magnets. Subsequently there are described properties and possible division of AC winding types. Afterward analytical designs of four machines with two different types of winding were realized. These designs were compared by means of simulations using the RMxprt program and their properties were subsequently verified by method of finite element using the Maxwell 2D program. Evaluation and comparison in terms of utility properties for all designs of machines were performed at the conclusion of this thesis.
Optimization of electrostatic simulation by utilization of distribution equations with emphasis on design of capacitance sensors of inhomogeneity distance
Mancl, V. ; Beneš, P.
This paper deals with the problem of optimizing the simulation of electrostatic fields with a focus on electrode setup simulations for capacitive sensor design. Several simulations were performed in Ansys electronics desktop software in Maxwell 2D and 3D module. The simulations were carried out on a sensor model with parallel plates, between which the movable inhomogeneity was placed. In the simulation, the inhomogeneity was modeled as an solid object. The proposed optimization consisted in replacing the inhomogeneity as an object by the equation of permittivity distribution in the space between the plates of the capacitor. The obtained dependences of the capacitance on the position of the inhomogeneity of the two models were compared together. Also the time required to complete the simulation was discussed. In addition to evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of the two modelling approaches, the paper describes a method for simulating a continuous gradient distribution of inhomogeneity permittivity.
