The Body as a Fragment
Dohnalová, Tea ; Sobotka, Jiří (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
In my Bachelor Thesis I focused on masks as an authentic imprint of human face. My intention was to verify the possibility of working with specific people in the broadest possible spectrum. My work has both artistic and psychological extent. I work with human identity and its forms within different social roles. This work is time consuming. I make plaster casts of faces of many dozen people. After removing, I get a form from which I cast the final form of masks. I work with a polyester resin that I mix with other materials. This gives me very different structures, colors and the appearance of masks. In this way I try to emphasize the differences of individual people. Every specimen is original, exceptional and inimitable.

The Dangerous Method # 19
Staněk, Jiří ; Kowolowski, František (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
I'm working with photographs of Sigmund Freud's apartment and creating their pseudo reconstruction. I'm trying through technique of linocut uncover light from black and white photos taken by documentarist Edmund Engelman in Vienna in 1938. I'm revealing volumes of individual fragments, which light falls on. Exposed light I keep for myself, for some melancholy reasons, and store it in glass jars. It is negative and final linocut represents positive. Atmosphere of pictures from Edmund Engelman's book has a big influence on me as well as Robert Longo's cycle Freud Drawings. Their atmosphere is catalyst for my own art solution.

Čmelíková, Barbora ; VOSTÁREK, Karel (advisor) ; MARUŠÁK, Radek (referee)
This diploma thesis presents a theoretical contemplation of scenography in children´s theatre supported by examples from the author´s own experience. It confirms scenography to be closely connected with the dramaturgical and directorial part of the whole creative process and to be a full-valued component of every single inscenation´s preparation. The work analyses the theatre space, mutual relations between the stage and the front, particular scenographic elements and the objective factors that influence creation of stage setting in children´s theatre. The thesis shows that the most determining of these are the specific characteristics of the children´s group and the personality of their teacher or leader. It also examines how technical as well as material conditions affect the choice and creation of stage setting. This diploma paper comes to the conclusion that limited conditions may obstacle the way to a theatre performance and mainly its scenography, but in the end they represent a challenge to search for creative solutions.
