Listening to Artificial Music in Kindergarten

The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to create a range of activities for kindergarten children that will introduce them to artificial music. The purpose of these activities is to support the child's relationship to music, understanding of musical composition and familiarize him with musical instruments. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the development of preschool children in the field of emotions, imagination, attention and music. Further characterizes listening activities in the kindergarten and methodology of those activities at any age of child. The practical part consist of an offer off activities related to artificial music, which are intertwined with all areas of education.

The content of this Diploma Thesis is dedicated to the listening activities in Music lessons at primary schools. The Diploma Thesis summarizes the history of listening activities in Music lessons. It deals with the position of Musical education in Framework Educational Programme. The Diploma Thesis comprises the overview of all the most frequently used music textbooks for primary schools. The textbooks are sorted according to the publisher. The Diploma Thesis examines whether the music textbooks for primary schools include listening activities, which music pieces appear in the music textbooks, how the textbooks dispose with the music pieces and whether the textbooks provide enough amount of topics for a creative work with listening to music. The following part of the Diploma Thesis describes the general structure of a music lesson focused on listening to music. It deals with an integrative approach to teaching Music and curricular relationships. Listening to teacher´s singing in kindergarten

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create ideas for how teachers can implement and evaluate the use of singing in the development of basic music listening skills in kindergarteners. The theoretical part introduces the singing as a musical art in the aesthetic and psychological context, the specifics of musical perception in preschool age, and the use of singing for the development of listening skills. The content of the practical part is to create a program involving listening to songs that is followed by music activities for children in kindergarten within the integrated thematic education. The implementation of the program is continuously evaluated according to the created evaluation plan. Methods of evaluation include direct observation, observation of video recordings, non-standardized test of musicality, and conversation with children.
Chosen activities in connection with music in leisure time by pupils in the 2nd and 3rd grades in primary schools

This work deals with musical activities by children at the younger school age. The theoretic part deals with the conception of music and leisure time, the roles of music, active and passive music utilisation. Next the younger school age and the term musical creativity is defined. In connection with musical creativity its characteristics and psychological prerequisites are also described. The practical part deals with the chosen musical activities by pupils in second and third grades of primary school. Questionnaires are used in order to discover how the pupils of these grades are devoting their time to musical activities in their leisure time and whether the pupils devote themselves to music in the active or passive way.
Music in the life of preschoolers

Bachelor thesis "Music in preschooler'slife" shows the possible usage of listening to classical music in the preschoolers' lives and its benefits. The theoretical part defines the terms of musical art, it deals with the functions of music and the psychological impact of music on the child and humans in general. It also introduces both the positive and the negative music effects on the child and also mentions the educational importance of music. The practical part of the thesis introduces a project which focuses on listening to classical music and reflects its usage with preschool children. It also touches children's perception and inner understanding of music. Additional research aims to find out about the motivation of parents to the musical education of their children. The thesis deals with the support and development of the music activities for preschool children at kindergarten. Its aim is to build a complete preview showing the current concept of the music class at kindergarten and the positive music influence on the whole individual in the field of physics, psychics and sociality. On the one hand, it calls attention to the risky and inconvenient pedagogical methods in relation to children and their talents in general and on the other hand, it shows the way of creating a positive music relationship for the future living.
Music Educationalist Pavel Jurkovič and His Methods of Children´s Musicality Development

My bachelor thesis deals with the personality of Pavel Jurkovič, a music educationalist, a singer, an instrumentalist, an author of compositions for children and the youth and a publicist. It is focused on his educational activity based on the principles of Schulwerk pedagogy of Carl Orff which is built on natural connection between music, speech and dance. I also concentrated on his life's journey and his opinions and attitudes related to his teaching practice. According to Pavel Jurkovič, music education not only represents acquiring musical skills and knowledge, but music also positively affects the human personality. I devoted my bachelor thesis to topics such as voice training, folk song, vocal production for children, rhythmic rhymes and games with music and movement, body percussion, instrumental ensemble and listening to music. I attached pieces of advice and recommendations by Pavel Jurkovič on how to procced in musical activities and how to use his sheet music and methodical manuals.
The Application of Visualisation while Listening to Music in Kindergarten

This bachelor thesis proposes four visual concepts to this kind of music and a plan of its application in kindergarten.
