The regional functions of libraries from the point of view of a Integrated Library System: a case study of the Municipal Library in Prague

(in English): This thesis is focused on Integrated Library Systems (ILS), specifically providing ILS helpdesk services through regional functions of libraries. In theoretical section are at first described the regional functions and several ILSs used in the Czech Republic. The next, system of public libraries in chosen EU countries is described, and their strategy and process of providing helpdesk services for ILS. The practical section consists of the case study of the regional ILS implementation process at the Municipal Library in Prague. The main goal of the thesis is to describe in detail the implementation of regional ILS in practice, which can be used as a tutorial to implement regional ILS at other libraries.
