The research of the imple-mentation of the Lean manufacturing was conducted at the production departments of the company. It is necessary to involve the processes principles. We can say, that the introduction of lean manufacturing principles and application of Kaizen management is a significant competitive advantage. The aim of tools supporting the implementation of the principles of the Lean manufacturing and Kaizen management is the elimination of wasting, improving response to customer´s demands. The keeping of the principles of company culture with the transition from the concept company to concept my (our) company. These principles are applicable to systems in the mass production and the small batch production. The some methods and tools are applicable in the area of services and public administration. We can say, that into each activity can be found reserves which are wasting about the Lean manufacturing. We are able to reduce or eli-minate them with use right tools. The subject of research are a never-ending changes the set up manufacturing processes during the implementation of Lean manufacturing and next application of Kaizen management. The changes which were done was not concern only for new set of material flow, workplace layout, leveling and optimization work, but also changes focused to thinking of people who are involved in these changes or the changes affecting them. To evaluace of the success and applicability of the newly introduced methods were set up measurable indicators and methodology of their eva-luation. Lean Enterprise
Trnovská, Lucia ; Klečka, Jiří (advisor) ; Košturiak, Ján (referee)
In the recent years, the ever changing economic conditions, be it on a global or local market, have caused an increasing amount of interest in management approaches. The new trend seems to be the implementation of so-called lean systems, and it is exactly the theme of a lean enterprise that this bachelor's thesis strives to delve into. The first part of the thesis focuses on portraying the historic events that led to the creation of the concept of a lean enterprise, its characteristics, basic principles, methods and elements that this enterprise applies in its functioning. It also delves into economic aspects that the process of leaning includes. The practical part focuses on analysis of lean elements implementation in the production company OMS, spol. s.r.o. This company is one of the largest producers of luminary products in the Central and Eastern Europe. In the recent years, it has realised a number of projects and changes in the area of leaning. Many of the systems have already been incorporated into the company, or are being prepared for that very purpose. This part also mentions certain problems that have occurred while implementing the lean elements, and possible solutions to these problems.

This thesis is focused on the suggestions for the application of maintenance department optimization concept -- Total productive maintenance, in the context of wider concept of lean manufacturing, in the BAEST company. The content of the thesis is to get acquainted with the theoretical background of the lean manufacturing and maintenance, analysis of the current state at the company's maintenance department reflecting the described theoretical background, identification of the potential for improvements by comparing the current state with the theoretically ideal state and coming up with individual recommendations for improvements of the maintenance department in order to make it better and more effective and efficient.
Lean enterprise
Gmenta, Marian ; Klečka, Jiří (advisor) ; Svobodová, Hana (referee)
The content of this thesis is a set of approaches that lead to a leaner enterprise. Besides the basic lean methods that are described in the theoretical part of this paper, the most attention is devoted to total productive maintenance (TPM). The practical part of this paper primarily focuses on a complete analysis of the maintenance system in Parker Hannifin and then on a project designed to implement the basic elements of TPM in the above mentioned enterprise. At the end of the piece, the project is evaluated and further ideas and recommendations for the future development of TPM in the enterprise are proposed.
The possibility of increasing productivity and improving business processes using methods and tools of industrial engineering and systems implementation of lean manufacturing
KOTTOVÁ, Jitka
This diploma thesis concerns the possibility of increasing productivity and improving business processes using methods and tools of industrial engineering and systems implementation of lean manufacturing in the company Schwan-STABILO ČR, s.r.o. The concept of lean production is known from the 50 of the last century and was first applied to the Japanese automaker Toyota, which due to its production system (Toyota Production System) was able to produce faster, cheaper and above all to a higher standard than its Western competitors. The main objective of this thesis is an analysis of the current state of the process and drafting of the required state of the process so that waste can be eliminated and productivity increased. With the implementation of lean methods and tools of production has been achieved the following improvements: - reduce the number of operators from the current 9 to shift to 5 operators in the shift, - increase the overall efficiency of facilities by more than 10 %, - reduction of machines from an average of 83 minutes to 22 minutes, - reducing the continuous production period of 59 days (74,14 days that for 15 days), - decreasing of the stock material, semi finished products and finished products from 404 790 pieces to 82 350 pieces.
Analysis of aplication potential of the Lean manufacturing principles in the selected industrial company
ŘÍHA, Karel
The basis of lean manufacturing is to minimize the inventories to reveal the disfunctions of the production system and to optimize process to avoid every kind of wastes. Lean systems are characteristic with smooth pull production system with one piece flow and just in time supplements of inventories. The layout of the line is transformed to the U work cell and the material is ordered by using kanban tickets. To receive the potential of implementation of the lean manufacturing principles we can use indicators IE - industrial efficiency and PLT - pruduction lead time.
Usage of lean manufacrturing in costs management
Hobzová, Veronika ; Šoljaková, Libuše (advisor) ; Halíř, Zbyněk (referee)
Lean manufacturing is the method to drive the costs down. Thesis concerns historic development of lean manufacturing methods giving special attention to Taylor's scientific management, husbands Gilbreth motion studies and Ford's production schema for "T" model. From today praxis the thesis is considering TPS (Toyota Production System) developed by Toyota Motor Corporation as an application of lean manufacturing. It was further developed by James Womack and Daniel Jones in their lean manufacturing theory analysis. The thesis introduces the example about fictitious HAD Corporation that is constructed on the bases of three real IT global companies. Analysis applies Womack's and Jones theory of lean manufacturing including five steps: value, value stream, flow, pull, perfection. The thesis can serve as an overview of lean manufacturing history, current methods and case study.
