Ille, Pavel
This diploma thesis deals with the state and the developmnet of South Moravian region. The thesis is devided into literary research and application part. The literary research addresses the issue of spatial and strategic planning in the Czech Republic, supplemented by some other forms of Landscape planning. This section also describes state of spatial plannning in the Czech Republic and evaluation of regions according to the share of municipalities with a valid spatial plan. Lastly, the adaptation of settlements to climate change is mentioned in the literature research. The application part of the thesis analyzes and evaluates the relationship between spatial and strategic planning in the cities Blansko, Břeclav, Hodonín, Vyškov and Znojmo. The analysis and evaluation of the given areas applies to the thematic areas of greenery, reusing of brownfields, occupation of agricultural land, the provision of drinking water, flood control measures and water retention in the landscape. The findings from the evaluation of spatial planning and strategic plans of cities are then implemented in the cadastral area of Velké Opatovice, where elements of adaptation measures are mostly proposed. Frühaufová, Jana
This diploma thesis focuses on options for landscape structure optimization and the support of agriculture by community-led local development. The first part of the thesis offers a literature review, including a brief introduction of the role of MAS (translated as local action groups), their representation in the Czech Republic, and their financing of local development. The practical part of the study analyses and assesses the study area of MAS Jemnicko using specific strategic documents and specific criteria. The goal of the thesis is to describe the current condition of the study area and to identify risks in relation to landscape structure. Based on that, recommendations for strategic administra-tion of the MAS are suggested along with the measures to improve the landscape struc-ture to face the identified risks. Projekt revitalizace lokálního biocentra Sluneční zátoka v k.ú. obce Čejč
Václavík, Vojtěch
The topic of this master thesis deals with the local biocentre project solution in the village Čejč. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the basis of the project, especially the issue of landscape structure and its analogy with structural parts of the territorial system of ecological stability (TSES), the definition of TSES, its implementation on non-forest land and possible conflicts with other interests in the area. The theoretical part further describes the methodology of field research and processing of results. Three variants are proposed, from which the optimal solution is selected due to theoretical background and assignment requirements. This includes a description of the decision-making process. Chosen solution is processed in the practical part of the thesis, in the project with the form of construction realisation documentation.
Zaniklá sídla Moravy a Slezska - případová studie Dukovansko
Křížová, Adéla
The bachelor's thesis deals with the villages that disappeared due to the construction of the Dukovany nuclear power plant. The goal of the work is to create an educational trail that would resemble the earlier settlement. Furthermore, the change of the landscape structure and texture, the definition of the main landscape-forming factor and the influence of man are addressed in the thesis. The work consists of a literature search and research. The literary research discusses the topics of regional memory, the history of the cultural landscape, local identity, genius loci, defunct settlements and the cause of their demise. The re-search first describes the area of interest, describes the construction of the nuclear power plant and the displacement of the affected villages. Information about the villages is supplemented by brief demography, history and their historical appearance. Based on interviews with witnesses, the residents of Skryje and Lipňany were registered. This information was added to the drawings of the villages, where buildings were drawn according to historical aerial photographs. The change in landscape structure and texture and the fundamental influence of collectivization on this phenomenon were described. The location is sought after by tourists because of the nuclear power plant and the Mohelen serpentine steppe. The work includes a proposal for an educational trail that passes through all three defunct villages around the nuclear power plant.

Těšitelová, Václava
The bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of landscape scene and landscape character issues with use and knowledge transfer into selected model area. The author divides the thesis into two parts, theoretical part, which consists of understanding the topic, studying the problematics and elaboration of literary research. The other part is practical, where the acquired facts are translated into real model area. The literary research looks into methods of evaluation landscape of several important landscape architects where the author tries to form her own point of view on the selected model area. The aim of the practical part of the thesis is to evaluate landscape character and landscape scene on the selected model area and design landscaping in form of an ideological study. The model area is an intensively agriculturally used landscape of Pardubice region. Specifically, surroundings of municipalities Brloh, Mokošín and Jankovice, which are located 5 kilometres south from Přelouč, the district city. The landscape in this area flows smoothly from North, from river Elbe, to the foot of Železné hory (the Iron Mountains). In introduction of the practical part, the author of the thesis executes an analysis of primary, secondary and tertiary structure of the landscape. The outcomes of the analyses became guides for landscape design which aim to improve the landscape, increase the harmonious scale, increase biodiversity and to promote multifunctional use of the landscape.

Kocmanová, Pavlína ; Skaloš, Jan (advisor) ; Bartoš, Michael (referee)
Diplomová práce Kolektivizace zemědělství a její promítnutí do krajiny ABSTRACT I searched changes in the cultural landscape structure in the relation with social processes in the time period 1937-2010 in my thesis. The research refers to the second half of 20th century, or more precisely, to the era of collectivization of Czechoslovak agriculture. In consequence of collectivization, the landscape was ecologically devastated and overall the nature of Czech countryside changed. Analysis of the landscape structure has form of case study of cadastral area of Široký Důl. I interpreted landscape changes from historical aerial photos and then analyzed the changes by geographical information systems. The results of those analyses are indicators (landscape metrics), by which I interpreted conditions of landscape in particular time. I confronted the changes in the landscape structure with social processes, which are described in theoretical part of thesis according to background research. Result of my thesis is general story of particular landscape, whose structure changed fundamentally in consequence of collectivization of agriculture. Key words: landscape structure, collectivization, landscape metrics, GIS, cultural landscape, aerial photos, Široký Důl

Typology of land cover changes and landscape structure in the post-communist countries of the Central Europe
Kuna, Petr ; Romportl, Dušan (advisor) ; Lipský, Zdeněk (referee)
Study of landscape change is a subject of interest for a wide range of professional work both in the Czech republic and abroad. This thesis therefore does not give a simple description of the changes in the landscape, but rather focuses on the further synthesis of these findings and the subsequent creation of a typology of land cover changes and their impacts on landscape structure in the region of interest, including also its heterogeneity. It is therefore a process of allocated areas that formed and still form the same processes that lead to homogenization of the landscape, as opposed to its fragmentation. Area of interest is so-called Visegrad Group of countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland). There are four countries of the former Eastern bloc in Central Europe, which shared some relatively similar initial conditions for the further development of the landscape after the "release" of the regime change in 1989. The landscape began to develop in different way. Each country began a different way to approach a completely different landscape interfering in its development. Review starts with describing landscape development in the period up to 1989, when it was not too taken of the ecological functions and the importance of the landscape. This period was characterized by the...
