Tradiční a moderní způsoby přípravy osiva polních plodin
Necid, Václav
The bachelor thesis deals with the traditional and modern method of seed crop preparation. In the introduction of the thesis, the issue of seed production and its legal regulations is discussed, both at the level of the Czech Republic and in selected European countries. Agrotechnical differences are described in conventional and alternative seed production systems. Traditional and modern methods of seed treatment are described and their applicability and efficiency are evaluated on examples from agricultural practice. At the end of the thesis is described the research task. The aim of the research was to verify the effect of special treatment of seeds - plasma surface treatment and other seed treatments on germination and emergence of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum). The work uses professional books and magazines and available internet resources. The experiment was realized in the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics at the Department of Crop Science, Plant Breeding and Plant Medicine, AF MENDELU. In the experiment, seeds of winter wheat (variety Julie) treated with various variants of treatment were used. The germination rate determination results showed that K2 (Vitavax 2000 and TERRA-SORB foliar) had the highest germination percentage (98.75%), while P2 (low-temperature plasma and Vitavax 2000 and TERRA-SORB foliar and BlackJak) had the lowest germination percentage (88.75 %). Low-temperature plasma (LTP) treatment of seeds has no effect on the elimination of pathogens compared to variants where Vitavax 2000 was used.

Bachelor thesis on "The Future of organic food and regional products in the Czech Republic" was engaged in the analysis of conventional and ecological methods of farming in the Czech Republic and the issue of organic food, regional and farmer's products. The work was mapped by representatives of individual enterprises for the Olomouc region. Based on the search method, the comparative methods and the questionnaire survey, the specific methods of farming of the selected enterpri-ses were described in detail and presented in a practical part. The result is that organic food, regional and farmer products are increasingly attractive to consumers.
Udržitelnost biopotravin a regionálních produktů
Čecháková, Klára
This work deals with the sustainability of organic food and regional products in the Czech Republic. It is primarily focused on the issue of organic farming. It describes its characteristics, development and current state in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, conventional and integrated agriculture is generally characterized. The description of conventional agriculture is largely composed of a destripcion of its impact on the environment and human health. The case study area is described here. The results describe two selected farms, ecological and conventional. Both types of farming are compared using the comparative method. Offered organic food and regional farm products are listed. The results show that organic farming is more suitable with regard to nature and human health. Milk production is noticeably more demanding than meat production. When comparing certification, it has been proven to be more advantageous to have the "Regional Food" certificate.
Ekologické zemědělství - zhodnocení ekonomické úrovně podniků
Zastulka, Alina
This diploma thesis describes the economic situation of ecological farms in The Czech Republic and compares it with farming businesses in the conventional mode. The first part includes the definition of organic farming, its history and principles, as well as the current valid legislation. The actual work describes the state of organic farming in the Czech Republic and abroad. The thesis is mainly focused on the economic situation and more specifically describes the basic economic characteristics of a selected group of companies as a whole in both types of farming. The data from the Agricultural Accountancy Data Network of the Czech Republic was used for the purpose of the work. The obtained results showed differences between organic and conventional farming, conventional businesses achieve better results in a number of indicators. Exceptions are subsidies constituting an important and irreplaceable role for organic businesses and its development.
Vliv způsobu hospodaření na výši produkce hlavních polních plodin
Chaloupek, Tomáš
In this diploma thesis on „The impact of the way of farming on the level of production of the main field crops“ is analyzed development of agricultural systems. Next part characterized the ecological way of farming - principles according to IFOAM, rules of organic production for crop and livestock production. There were described the key points of this management, the issue of entry into the ecological way of farming, the control and certification system and the labeling of bioproduction. In the next part are presented current conditions of crop production in the Czech Republic, areas of main crop sowing in ecological and conventional way of farming followed comparison of yield trends of these farming systems. The practical part is aimed at comparing the yields of wheat, barley, triticale and oat in different ways of farming. The data was provided by four subjects, two of which farmed in beet and two in the potato production area. Survey results generally indicate a significant impact of agro-ecological conditions (beet-growing and potato-growing production areas) and the impact of farming ways (conventional and organic) on yields of winter wheat and spring barley. Triticale and oat were grown in a potato-growing production area in a conventional and organic way of farming. Higher average yields for both crops were achieved in conventional and lower in organic farming. However, the differences in yields were not statistically significant. Winter rape was grown only in a conventional way of farming. Higher avereage yields were achieved in the beet production area (3.72 t / ha) and lower in the potato-growing area (2.08 t / ha).
Příčiny nízkých výnosů obilovin v ekologickém systému pěstování
KOTAŠKA, Vladimír
The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out the causes of low returns on chosen cereals (oat, wheat, rye, and spelled) in ecological agriculture based on evaluating information on growing procedures obtained via the method of questionnaires. Gradually, 21 ecologically farming companies controlled by the Abcert AB a Biokont CZ, s.r.o. organizations were chosen. Based on the analysis of growing procedures, the most frequent mistakes made by farmers were identified. Companies with lower returns apply mainly an inappropriate structure of crops grown, a high representation of cereals, and they do not respect crop rotation principles. Especially in favourble conditions, some farms are run without livestock production. Leguminosae representation is low in most companies, intercrops are used very seldom. In case of straw plow, the C:N ratio is not maintained using manure. Mineral manure is not used at all, liming very seldom. Vegetation is usually not fertilized during vegetation period. Cereal weed regulation is carried out, but not sufficiently. Using farm seed is quite frequent, which increases the growth of weed. Comparing returns on cereal among better and worse companies, it is obvious that respecting given principles may increase return on seed in 1.0 to 1.9 t/ha.
Quality of poultry meat in relation to the production method
KADLECOVÁ, Lucie
The topic of this thesis is the quality of poultry meat in relation to the production method. In the literature review, poultry meat is described, then its consumption in the Czech Republic and its chemical composition. Selected methods of sensory analysis are also described. Types of tested meats are characterized in the practical part. This thesis is also focused on the experimental evaluation of the chemical composition of chicken breast muscle from the Loužná farm using the NIR method and comparing the composition changes depending on the age of the chickens. It is followed by selected sensory methods aimed at recognizing differences in chicken meat from three different productions. In addition, there was published a questionnaire to determine citizen's preferences for products (chicken meat) from different production methods.

Organic Food Awareness of Grammar School Students
Vaňková, Andrea ; Váchová, Alena (advisor) ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (referee)
The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on organic food and ecological agriculture problematics. The primary objective is to point out advantages and disadvantages of organic food and therefore, I mention comparison of organic and conventional food in the thesis. The practical part investigates attitudes and levels of knowledge of students of selected lyceums about organic food. The quantitative research (survey) was conducted at three lyceums in Prague. The statistical methods were used to verify the stated assumptions. While processing the survey I have learned that students struggle with the field of healthy nutrition than with the field of ecological agriculture and therefore, a proposal of healthy nutrition and organic food lecture has been chosen as the pedagogical output of the thesis. A tutoring presentation will focus on students of lyceums and its purpose will be to raise awareness about this problematic.
