Communication with handicapped patients with hearing impairment

Abstract The aim of the bachelor thesis "Communication with handicapped patients with hearing impairment" was established on the basis of the exploratory survey, the level of communication skills, attitude and interest in the education of nurses in communication with hearing- impaired patiens. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part gives a brief overview of relevant knowledge about communication with hearing-impaired patients that have been collected through the available and published literature. The empirical part contains quantitative research. Selected form of the research was questionnaire. Questionnaires were distributed among nurses on the internal and surgical wards in Thomayer's hospital.
